I think Ahsoka is the first new star wars property in a long time that ended with a major cliffhanger. Thrawn is back, Ahsoka and Sabine are stranded, the planet's mystery. Nice to see it's not just good guys win bad guys lose fade to black.

Great recap! Pretty sure Thrawn brought a lot of corpses with him, to have the Sisters make an army of Zombie Troopers. Furthermore, the statues where Baylan Skoll was, were most likely depicting the Mortis Gods. Would make sense if their power is there, and Baylan maybe seeks to become one of them. Season one was good - hopefully season 2 will be great. But I don't know how they will replace Ray Stevenson, since he was the most intriguing character in my opinion.

Maybe it's just me, but bits of the ending felt a little rushed, like Esra just somehow managing to steal a ship and get off Thrawns ship without being detected, or the two mercenaries just sort of stopping in their tracks only to then pop up in two little scenes right at the end.

Um, at end of episode 8, what stopped ahsoka and wren from escaping the Peridea, either through their ships own hyperspace, or with purgil?

They didn’t have the hyperspace cordinants to make the jump because they never got the map, and they can’t use the whales (at the moment) because all the whales left peridea after flying through an imperial minefield

Adding onto the above, it's implied the purgil are on a one-way trip. Peridea is a purgil graveyard. They came here to die. So there aren't any (that we know of) going in the opposite direction.

My man told the plot easily in under 7 minutes, which goes to show how weak the plot in that first season was. So many many drawn out scenes...the director must have given the actors the order the speak slowly and have a lot of meaningful breaks between the lines.

They did not want to recast if Star Wars did not want him to return then they could’ve had him go do his mission like to say he wanted to become one with the force and then disappear, but they kept him.
