Vader is the ultimate fallen hero. In the clone wars we all got to see how much he loved his men, Aksoka, Obi-Wan, Padme, even R2-and he lost everything. He was a great warrior and an inspiring leader, who fought to protect those he cared about. One of the most tragic characters ever written I think

When you realize that Anakin/Vader had visions of this fight long before it would happen. For Ahsoka this is a painful reunion and a reminder of her lost master and friend, for Vader this was an unavoidable destiny, like every other time he loses those he loves the most.

@@arn0439 and in the Vader comics once Vader's Castle is complete and he kills a sith back from the past his castle opens a pathway to the world between worlds which he enters and sees portals of both past and future one of them being him meeting and fighting Ahsoka, he later destroys the pathway after trying and failing to bring back Padme

To be honest I actually never thought it would come. I thought Ashoka would have been killed because of Order 66, but since she wasn’t this scene happened. Honestly it’s such a Heartbreaking moment to watch. Would would truly break me is if Vader called her “Snips” one last time as they fought.

The fact that in their duel Ahsoka’s face is full of emotion and sadness, and Vader is just that stone hard mask gets me every time. I can’t image how she must feel fighting him like that knowing that Anakin was in there once

We need a high-quality fanmade fight animation of Blood God Techno and Knightfall Vader pitted against each other to either death or submission. Overwhelming bloodlust, insane physical strength and agility, resistance to magical effects, extensive knowledge of every fighting style known to man, and a single-minded focus on the fight itself. Fighting is not something he does, it's his way of life. Versus: Overwhelming hatred, insane Force strength, incredible agility, high physical strength, mastery of lightsaber combat, and the same single-minded focus that made him such a terrifying opponent in the Clone Wars. Fighting is not something he does, it's a necessity for him.

yeah ashoka,s thing has always been "as we saw when anakin was ironjcally training her for order 66" that she is extremely light and quick like a ninja and has great defense but she can clearly deliver a powerful blow when needed

It’s because a corrupted kyber crystal light is hitting a passive kyber crystal which is a kyber crystal that was corrupted and then it got taken back by a Jedi and lost its color completely so it turned white

You have 2 Solid Light objects bouncing off each other which causes sparks. Nothin to do with Crystals at all, literally just Physics.

A man who lost everything to the point where he try’s to kill his past to lose the thought of it. You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become a villain is a quote from DC but it follows Vader’s story perfectly

It is hard not to feel a tear in your eye after seeing what became of Anakin & Ashoka and that music made it even more deviating to see how they once were and how things came to. What would hurt even more is if as they were fighting he said “Not bad snips”.

I am so distraught that as a kid I didn't understand star wars and watched clone wars never knowing awaking was Darth Vader and then crying as a grown man knowing what anakin has become Bing watching this show really just made my day feel like an eternity in sadness

Fun fact: When Ashoka left the order it was a crucial turning point in anakins life that turned him closer to the dark side. I really hate how a section of the fandom completely skim over the animated shows like clone wars and Star Wars rebels

I still need to get past rebels style and how less violent and dark it was. Clone wars got so real, with how horrid war is, you sometimes forgot it was intended for a younger audience. But asoka leaving and the way they did it was brilliant. It made his turn make more sense. He alone believed her, the council abandoned her. How could he ever trust them again. Personally the clone wars are the greatest thing star wars has ever created. It perfected anikans arc. This scene perfectly encapsulates this.

It’s optional content. Anakin’s turn was already fully fleshed out before the animated series even existed. Acting like it’s essential would be like if JK Rowling wrote a short story that takes place between books 6 and 7 of Harry Potter and everyone acted like it was essential to the plot of a story that concluded 15 years ago.

I cried at the last episode. My childhood ended when that shit hurt me different. It felt different especially growing up every friday at 7:00 pm to watch that new star wars episode with my father. Time goes by it doesnt wait so if your reading this and are still in school do the things that you want to do dont let others hold you back and achieve greatness. Try new things find something thats enjoyable even its just once. Do it die with no regrets

I never noticed the frown untill now on Anakin. Thanks to Ezra and Rebels for saving Ashoka. She might be overly praised by the community but she's still a wonderful character. Excited to see where they go with Ezra and Thrawn
