Behind the Seams is a fantastic name, and I loved those arm bands. I would have liked to see a reference photograph. I know who she is but if I didn't I wouldn't know how great of a job you did.

Ah! Lol I probably should have done that but figured if folks are searching for her they’d probably already know. And I’m always nervous about posting IP/copyrighted stuff in videos, especially Disney stuff...😬

@@Paisleyandglue That makes sense, I thought about the IP concern before I commented but I have no idea how that works. I didn't think about people searching for the video by character name, but I follow you so that's how I got to your video.

I am having a DAY trying to figure out how to make this cloak. I just can't seem to do it. Would you happen to be able to lay out a paper sketch of what the pattern pieces ought to (generally) look like?

Can you provide any more details on the cloak part? Trying to get one made for my niece for her Halloween costume
@Paisleyandglue

It’s basically just an elongated poncho shape cut down the middle front with an oversized hood!
@selfdisplaced
@selfdisplaced Жыл бұрын
Ah, thanks. I’ll look into some poncho ideas. Was using just a cloak one diy video. And it came out decent enough. But want to try again with a different material and with what I’ve learned from first try. Great job on yours and has helped. What material did you use for the cloak? I just used a random gray blanket found at Walmart, guess it’s some sort of fleece/jersey material.

Such beautiful work 😍 would you mind sharing where you got your cloak fabric?
@Paisleyandglue
@Paisleyandglue 3 жыл бұрын
It’s an upholstery fabric from Joann who makes it notoriously hard figure out the item numbers of things. I THINK it’s a Hudson brand basket weave pattern in Onyx

Love the outcome of your comssion! Question. Was the tank a prebought tank or did you end up making your own in order to join everything into the top there. By any chance can you estimate how much fabric of each type there was? I'm sure some people are curious and I'm horrible at estimating amounts.
@Paisleyandglue
@Paisleyandglue 3 жыл бұрын
I did make the tank! You could use one that was prebought but you’d probably want to take it apart at the shoulder and it would be a little hard to attach the collar of the front flaps correctly in the back of the neck. I believe I just bought 1 yard of the tank fabric which was almost not enough- 1.5 would be better. I think 4 yards of the pant fabric? Probably a 1.5 yards of each of the grey linens would be enough.
@Paisleyandglue
