We had a blast filming with the Skydio X2 Color this past weekend! We'd say this AI drone knocked it out of the park:) In the video you had a chance to see our team inspect a fairly unique structure.
The use cases for this drone are pretty infinite! We'd love for you to help us uncover any new ones we haven't found just yet. In the comments below drop a 3d structure you'd like to see scanned, it could be simple or complex, we'd love to hear your ideas!

Thanks for watching! We’ve had a blast testing out the new Skydio X2 so far. We’re considering scanning some more 3D structures, performing night tests, testing the 16x digital zoom and more. Let us know what you’d like to see next!

Awesome video. Good work! Thank you for the in-depth yet understandable information. I have a Skydio 2 but I believe it’s just the “Cinema” version. This version is cool, but for my uses it may be a bit more than I need.

Thanks Mr Howard! We’re glad you enjoyed the video:) The Skydio 2 does have a cinema upgrade. We haven’t flown that model before but we’ve heard it’s great as well!

Absolutely amazing! I really appreciate the link you provided. This was the first time I was able to work with a finished product like this so easily. I wonder if you've ever scanned a large specimen tree? It seems that trees don't come out quite so crisp as these type of structures. I would love to see what you're able to do though with a beautiful specimen tree.

hey nice video! Not many about the X2, so I was wondering how you have enjoyed the drone now that it's been a year or so. I'm considering the thermal but I have not seen any footage to compare to DJI's offerings. Thanks!

Curious if you know the motor and ESC Specs for the X2E. biggest thing im looking for is the KV rating for the Motors and the max Amps for the ESCS

Anytime my friend! And it sure is! The drone doesn’t create the model within its software. It creates images to be stitched together afterwards in different photogrammetry software options like Pix4d, reality capture, or Bentley context capture. I hope that cleared things up a bit!

Thank you! We’ve confirmed measurements in past projects, but we’ll actually be going out this weekend to confirm measurements on this specific project to share with you. We’ve been very pleased with its accuracy for inspection, construction monitoring, etc. so far!

Do you know what the availability of these drones are like from Skydio for people like myself wanting to bust into the drone services business? My understanding is that it is pretty difficult to get your hands on one unless you are a corporation making a multi-drone purchase.

These drones are a lot more available than you’d think! They’re comparable in price to the X2 thermal version. You don’t need to make a multi-drone purchase to gain access to this one. I’d recommend reaching out and inquiring about it, the X2 Color is an absolute game changer!

Pointless for most people on KZfaq as Skydio think that the US is 'The world'. It's a closed market drone, looks great, not available outside the US
