The economy of animal jam is so incredibly broken it’s ridiculous. I remember when My Shops were first released, and the max you could sell for was only 1k - and 1k for an item was seen as ridiculous. Then 5k got added, and 5k was ridiculous. And now 5k is considered such a little amount. It was honestly sad to watch sapphire and item worth being destroyed.. 500 sapphires used to get you so much, and now it’s seen as pocket money

That's so sad for people like me who grind for their sapphires on their own. It really starts to look like the real world 😢

Nowadays it’s harder to find a seller than a buyer. I RAN to buy someone’s blackout for 22k yesterday because buyers are so quick, even if the item’s overpriced.

Tbh I have become use to this stuff overtime in 2016 hackers where crazy and everyone was freaking out. But now it’s happened so much that it seems repetitive it’s honestly kind of funny. Like seriously try to name all of the “bad” jammers you can think of. Hyanine1, Fman122, wretchedjungle, That hacking squad in 2020, now Openai and lots more I can’t think of. I like taking a back seat in All this and just watching it play out. It might seem like a lot of people are helping. But most people have no control over what happens. I will not do this anymore. My brother had 23 egg tokens, and he put them in his my shop for 5,000 sapphires. I was so confused why he sold them for that much. My brother is super caring, so he bought 28 egg tokens for me abd told me to put 25 of them in my shop at exactly 5,000 sapphires. I did. I didnt play aj for the next 2 days. When i finnaly got on, it just kept spamming 5,000 saps at me. 25 times. I was SOOOOOOOOO happy. Bought all my wishlist items. I was still happy until i found this vid. I am not gonna put them at 5,000 saps anymore. Only 500 like their supposed to be. Thanks Kijjikon. ❤:)

I bought my first pair of Tsunami12's double dragon wings for around 215 sapphires and now they're going for 650-1,000+ it's insane. A lot of people will oversell stuff and then other people will start selling stuff for insane prices too. The only reason I was able to get most of the items I wanted was because of a membership deak that let me 14,000 sapphires.

It's good that ajhq banned them but.. let's pray they don't make a new acc and hack and use bots again. Ty for making this video it explains alot more about the incident.

I was active on the aj wiki when that whole openai thing was going down, and it was WILD. However, there were some of us who weren’t 100% certain they weren’t a genuine player grinding all those alphas fairly, but the evidence is too convincing.

I used to play animal jam years ago, last time i was actively playing regularly was maybe 5 years ago. I already hated how "capitalistic" the game was, with the betas and all. And now it's even worse, what the hell :') this whole craze about items is insane to me, i feel bad for people grinding in game for items, and inflation being a thing in game too.. always was my least favourite thing about these games. Kinda sad to see how bad it got

I know this is off topic, but I had a dream that you had a birthday party and all the animal jam youtubers were there, and I guess you had a raffle about who was gonna talk to you for the rest of the day, and I guess I won it.

This game is requiring children to ask their parents to buy microtransactions to get more sapphires or wishing coins, and yet, people wants more and more and more stuff, and with many sapphires they could buy whatever they pleased, but for poor jammers, they can bearly get stuff they wanted, a have to resort to paying with real money.

One of my painted eggs (Pastel Yellow) sold for 4500 sapphires near the start of the event. But again, this was near the start of the event and it was actually the cheapest on explorer at the time of that specific colour as they were still new. So I just assumed someone rich and desperate for "new thing now" bought it. I wonder if it wsa actually the bot... Either way, I was thrilled at getting 4500 sapphires from an egg and had sold a few more for 500 each since and i'm now hoarding them for selling later. :D

this is one of the reasons i quit animal jam, theres just so many people exploiting the system and its not fair, pretty amazing how animal jam actually put the alphas back tho - finally did something good for once

I know another thing I've seen effecting the economy. These timed events have been massive for grinders. Last Halloween I made 25,000 from grinding the light and dark chest. And I was selling on the low end for 250. Getting large amounts of Sapphire from grinding is very easy now if you have the time. I've made 3,000 from just selling a few eggs this easter and I haven't even been grinding that much. I dont know if this is a good thing or bad thing tbh. I love the chance of getting sapphires and it does give others a good chance to get some as well. But I feel like its going to push people into a box of hard grinding. Either through trading or events. Getting money from selling art in my shop hardly seems worth refilling at times even though i make a tidy profit. Its just 50 or 25 saphires. Which is nothing right now. Having to spend hours advertising just for a chance at a small anount of saphires when i can just pick up shovels to get a guaranteed big reward limits my options in terms of where my money comes from. Before i dabled in selling items, playing mini games and packruns, trading, selling art and getting lucky in small ways like with lenei. Now it's just doing the same thing for hours. I've found I've been less interested in the game lately. I feel the only way to get items i want is to grind constantly. Which kinda sucks tbh. And i can definitely see it turning people away from the game.

this is an old video and i doubt youll see this put i will say this: on aj classic there was a time of insane inflation back in 2020, where the lphd (and other hds) skyrockted in worth. the lphd was worth hundreds and hundreds of solids. now, the worth has dropped back down to a comfortable 40-50. my hope is that over the year ajpw has this same kind of gradual crash where the items return to their original/smaller worths.

AJHQ doesn't allow VPNs with animal jam so hopefully the hackers are gone for good, if there are VPNs that block the IP ban then I don't know of them

The bot had maybe bought from my shop.. This might not be true because it wasn't a painted egg so I can't be sure. I wanted to sell my double so I put it up for 5k. I went to go make a look at about 3 seconds later my double was gone. I clicked the X to say Thanks to whoever bought it but no one was there. I went to look at the saps and I only had 4700 something. I was not a member at that time but it wouldn't take that much I'm sure.
