Brother will class 12 percentage matter in mtech placements in iit because my class 12 percentage is below 60%

They may check your acadmic record but it will not matter most. What matters is how you can contribute to their company.

Just one question. Since AI course is offered jointly by the EECS division. Can someone from AI dept switch to Microelectronics VLSI type roles during placement if their research/project involves both AI and Electronics? I found that almost all students in AI always go for Data Science related jobs in IT industry only.

Yes, you can apply for Microelectronics VLSI roles, if you satisfy the companies criteria.

18 lac is average of only AI branch of iisc?

18 Lacs is BASE PACKAGE. The average CTC is between 25~30 LPA (same as CSA & CDS).
