Artificial Intelligence has been making headlines in recent years for its ability to perform tasks that were once exclusive to humans. But as it becomes more advanced, it's also starting to take over jobs traditionally done by artists. let's dive into the subject in this video.

@Kadir exactly, and guys, also think about the impact in democratic systems when ai are involved in predicting election results to better manipulation of the masses. -Ai manipulation of the market -Ai impact on security with face recognition and motion recognition, yeah it's the idea of recognizing your walk cycle to identify you. -intelligent analysis of your data/messages/mails to identify your political opinions -Politician not writing their speech and just reading mass-data predictions to get the correct words and getting elected. -Fake footage of war and faked political discourses to create panics and pass laws. All of this is Really stinky, but hey, we will have cool eazy to do graphics in video games, right ? Right ?

Companies already recruit and fire employees for a variety of reasons, permanent positions are no longer a thing much before AI. Nobody should build their finances around an employer they have no control over at all. The best thing to do is to take advantage of technology to create your own products and stop relying on the illusion of "steady" jobs, which is something people were doing long before the AI boom too. If you are already a skilled without it, you can produce much better things than the prompt "artists" using AI.

Well it's exponential in growth like the pandemic was. The scary part being that was a very real and tangible threat that the world collectively dropped the ball on. AI isn't going to go rogue or start maximizing paperclips overnight. By the time we finally hash out the legalities of AI art we might not even realize that AGI has already been a thing for a bit and it's already stacked the deck against up in every way possible.

And also AI generated images have no creative or artistic value aside the prompts. But then the whole painting but the idea behind it lost it's value. AI generated images are imitations of creativity and a fully generated image would be completely worthless, artistically speaking. Commissioning artists is a great way to combine your ideas, your creativity with the creativity of the artists you like. That is the value of art, it's not just an image.

unfortunately ... or rather, fortunately, this is wrong. Especially since there has been new legal precedent that states that AI generated things will not be able to be copyrighted, companies have no incentive to replace artists with AI, since they will lose tons of money if they make products they can't copyright. I can also tell you from personal experience working in a games company, we haven't even thought about replacing our artists, and even if the tech gets to a point where it can do a human's job (which so far it can't), the legal obstacles won't go away but are more likely to grow.

I don't believe ai art will replace a lot of jobs why? Cause of copywrite laws. From what I've gathered you can't really copywrite AI art unless it's been changed significantly. So yeah the companies could choose to use AI but with significant modifications they can't really claim it as they're own. So yeah
@fkdump

Only the parts transformed by the artist can be copyrighted. So you can't generate an image, fix hands, switch color or any kind of minor change and acquire rights to it. I think this is a good step towards promoting creativity instead of imitating it.

@@SoulGuitarMetal that would be great. But this copyright law didn't touch the subject of training AI on someones art. That is yet to be dealt with if possible. @Hibernial
@Hibernial Жыл бұрын
@@hongsonnguyen8204 That simply means artists will be valued for directing or consulting positions, on top of probably if their skills are sought after designing key elements and details. Really, AI generation can help make a competent artist into a somewhat all-around artist for visual design. The pipeline of games and movies highlights a need for the division of labor in specialized fields for genres of art. I don’t see specialists going away, but I do see smaller or closely knit teams coming together and being able to work faster thanks to AI as a tool, not as a replacement. The next step in this technology would be something like in-house AI generators that have professional artists specifically select and curate their images. Art generators now pull from everything of varying quality online. Say an art generator bases its images from the concept pieces of several in-house projects. Artists would still be hired even if it’s just to add to that pool. The time save for this as well could positively decrease crunch time hours. NDA’s which already exist would just include the use of this technology.

Well I never got as far as getting to a professional level in art, I'll probably still draw because I feel if I were to let ai do each and every thing in my life I'll become dumb and useless. I'm learning ai and I have the advantage of being able to edit the mistakes ai makes without hoping I'll get something close to a generation I really liked thanks to the time I've spent learning to do art. Putting my brain and motor ability to use manually drawing in my spare time for personal projects will prevent me from becoming a potato, I believe.

It’s also worth thinking about how AI will change various industries in more fundamental ways. I expect that in the case of video games, once this tech is refined a bit more you could very easily imagine much more powerful user editing of characters and levels. It could go further where it’s possible for the game itself to be generated on the fly, there may not even be ‘3D models’ involved at all. I’ve seen tech demos where an entire game is rendered on the fly by AI. A lot of the conversation seems a bit short sighted, it’s like we’re in the 19th century and people are imagining a future robot which will be better at calligraphy than they are.

In fact the "real art" would be in good position its exclusive but its maybe in route of fine arts and so on , u knoe we must not let corporations let do what they want , and go in the way of smaller economy . On the other note , im not suprised that this happens in China , in ghis regine you have labour camps, and people disapear because they didnt like poster showing leader of communist party, this cou try isca monster , mix of worst capitalistic practices with communism, west and free world is better than that

There is a lot of doom and gloom surrounding this topic, but honestly, it’s an incredible tool for indie devs. If one skilled artist can do the work on five, you don’t need to hire a whole costly concept art team to flesh out a world and characters. Importantly, AI cannot make interesting art by itself. Anyone trying to outright replace human creativity with AI will find that no one will want to buy the result. But as a tool in an artist’s hands … oh boy! It’s a force multiplier!

@Florian Frey Precisely, Ai is no replacement for talented, passionate devs; however, the contractors and 9 to 5 devs will be a shrinking job market for sure as a result. I believe this is a good thing for the industry. Too many people getting into game dev to make money has hurt the industry, and it's time to return to people who truly want to elevate and innovate the art form. Ai will make this a reality by cutting down on team bloat and allowing talented devs to lead smaller teams without sacrificing output.
