Meaning of 'Humpe ye kisne hara rang dala' Just before the song Madhuri in the movie has requested SRK to come to her mehfil in return of her favour that she did to shahrukh. People in the mehfil bet that Shahrukh will not come because he hates her and that leads to a bet between a zamindar and Madhuri and suddenly Shahrukh comes and song starts. Green is consider as color of happiness. She is singing "humpe ye kisane hara rang dala, khushi ne hamare hamein maar dala" meaning someone has just poured happiness upon me (refering that the shahrukh's arrival has bring happiness to her) and this happiness is enough for me to die.

In islam green color symbolizes paradise (people in paradise wear green). The song is a urdu poetry (ghazal/mujhra) so emphasis on color green makes sense. In short she feels that she is in heaven. Otherwise also green color is associated with fertility, freshness, growth and respect. Because Devdas has ‘returned back’ after insulting her of her profession, hence she feels colored in green. Also green has strong emotional correspondence with well being/safety. Green has great healing power too. Chandramukhi was well aware of Devdas deteriorating health and may be she was not expecting to see him again alive before his arrival.

We watched Hum Apke Hai Kaun twice in the cinema. Also 'Ke sara sara' is one of my fav songs. Along with 'Tama Tama' song and 'Chane Ke Khet Mein'. (FIJI)
