man, as an amateur producer i have to say, this is insane and the amount of talent and time you've dedicated to replicating is absolutely crazy. the closest you can get to perfect. there are small differences and i feel like your workflow/producer habits might be slightly different but it's almost completely unnoticable unless you're trying to find a needle in a haystack. so much respect from a fellow aussie, i honestly thought you would be way bigger than you are and can only foresee that becoming true.

There are still a few things that you got wrong, but this is hella accurate 1. The soft clipper should go on the master, not the kick track. When it's on the kick track it makes the kick sound sperate from everything else, which you don't want 2. If you put the soft clipper on the master and not the kick, you won't need the sidechain 3. The 808 pattern is slightly off. It shouldn't be sliding down on the high notes

i know this is two years old, and im not disagreeing by any means, but can someone explain why a soft clipper on the master helps in this scenario? i've been old-school taught not to put anything on the master without context. A limiter has more reasons to be on a master than a soft clipper so im confused. a soft clipper on a kick changes dynamics of the kick so you still have to mix it back into the track.
