ANY AIRCRAFT, the moment The President of The United States steps on board is considered to be Air Force One, no matter the aircraft.

Chaotic Mark Really? What about Marine One, Navy One or Army One? Only US Air Force aircraft use the call sign Air Force One. Civilian aircraft are referred to as Executive One. Where did you get your info that ANY AIRCRAFT are considered to be Air Force One?

interesting footage, i've never noticed what appear to be special approach and takeoff procedures for AF1 before. it seems quite apparent that they have modified standard procedures to be done at far higher than normal speeds.

the 2 engines one is a Boeing 757, it is Air Force 2, the vice president flys on it, the 4 engine one is Air Force one

Technically it is a VC-25A, not a 747. The 747 is a civilian aircraft.

+MGK_Jett The call sign "Air Force One" is only applied when the president is currently on board the plane, same as Navy One, Marine One, Army One, Coast Guard One etc.. Anytime other than that, all presidential aircraft use their designated tail numbers for identification. The "Air Force Two" call sign is associated most with the Boeing C-32 (a modified 757) when the Vice President is on board. It is sometimes called "Air Force One" if the airport can't hand the 747 VC-25's and so the president has to use it temporarily. I do however agree with you that I would have also liked to see the second plane take off as well; I was waiting it.
