Ushiro waza are techniques on attacks from behind. Here are some basic aikido techniques against a neck and wrist hold, ushiro katatedori kubishime. It is not a choke, but a control grip. A choke would need to be countered differently and more urgently.
Ushiro is usually practiced in two main ways - gotai and jutai. Gotai is from a static position, when the attacker has completed the grip. In jutai you start moving before that. Only gotai is shown in this video, because that is where this attack gets particularly challenging. In jutai, the solution is pretty much like in ushiro ryotedori, which means acting before the neck hold is reached.
The way to get out of a firm grip from behind is almost the same on whatever grip. You use the same body turns and similar hand movements in every case. Of course, there are different solutions practiced in the aikido world, but the ones I show here are those that I trust the most.
For clarity, I mostly do the techniques rather slowly on the video. In some cases I go faster, but of course that can be done with every technique shown.

This is a very unlikely grab, as anyone with training would know not to attack this way.

@wheelinthesky300, as stated in the title and description, I regard this as a hold and not a choke. So, it's pointless in competing martial arts, since you can't win by it. But of course this and other holds exist and are practiced in self-defense training. As such, it is part of the aikido curriculum.

@@StefanStenudd Just think so many guys are trained these days they unfortunately know how to effectively attack. Forgot to add your technique is excellent as always.

@@wheelinthesky300, you're right about that. The martial arts develop and aikido needs to develop accordingly. And thank you for your kind words.
