It is from the Katana that Aikido finds its Art. Sword Arm. When rolling. To Cut Down when Throwing. The Sword Arm when deflecting a punch. As well as the mentality to enter fearlessly into the attack. The Samurai Spirit. The Indomitable Spirit of The Katana.

Of course, a future in which Aikido ceases to be a martial art to become a choreographic dance of self-indulgence. He definitely knows how to do it very well, that smile is truly inspiring indeed.

@@airon3348 I think we hope and train for sincere Aikido. We have to look for the true meaning of Katsuhayabi to realize how Aikido is not for fighting or for proving itself on the mat/street/ring etc. Aikido is proved on the way we live and the way we manage opposition. My humble opinion

@ I respect your opinion and appreciate your answer, truly. I just want to add something and I do not intend to insult or convince, ONLY my opinion: «Masakatsu Agatsu Katsuhayabi» Ueshiba Morihei expressed the essence of Budo in this phrase, but in my view many people has been interpreted it as a pretext to evade the reality of the very teachings of the Master. The _true_ victory over oneself lies precisely in overcoming the fears and weaknesses within each one. Budo is the way of the warrior, the heroic cry. The method that teaches the value of effort and perseverance in the face of _true_ opposition, the opposition found in life _living it_ . The authentic and enduring achievements of life are achieved precisely through _this_ opposition: To conquer the uncomfortable, the unpleasant, the painful, what causes us fear, what makes us flee. In short, Budo is an expression born and generated by the _pure need_ to achieve what _you want_ to achieve _for real_ . Ueshiba Morihei did not say what he said as a result of spending a vain life in the comfort of his home. He was a man who really struggled with enormous adversities to materialize his ideals, facing many, many challenges and many opponents. The video does not show any authenticity, no martial expression in the face of _any_ opposition, just people throwing themselves here and there for no reason in response to nothing. No ukemi at all. No Shisei. It is then, an empty, vain, indulgent, effortless Aikido that deceives, that creates conditioned reflexes based on a lie, a false sense of security product of the avoidance of authentic effort. This practice teaches the opposite of what O Sensei taught. The guy in this video has great physical condition, but that does not make him a martial artist, at least for me, his practice is a sham and an insult to Budo and to Yamato Tamashii

Yes exactly for kids and women for self defence but for men and warrior's it's the worse for broken cutting killing whith hight speed it's the worst , bleeding .

So, do you think you understand Budo at all? In any way? Why would thousands of people around the world practice to fight “for real”? Even if it’s the ultimate goal for you, don’t expect it to be the main reason for everybody else.

@@griseklon we live in wild world whith many criminals that's the dark reality if you aren't ready for , you will be a victim any way believe what you want but only 20% techniques and move in aikido can work only if you mixe it with boxe tai or other dicipline until that stay alive .

Mahmoud boom sure your perspective can be applied anywhere in the world, but if you allow me to be a bit shallow, a basic goal of modern budo as for instance aikido isn’t necessarily to foster warriors/fighters, but to make the individual a better one in the society where he /she lives. And really, what do you know about the techniques efficiency? Bjj and mma or whatever are just branches of the same tree of any martial arts. Techniques are mostly the same in any of the “arts”. The arenas or “philosophies are different.

@@griseklon I mixte boxe thai with aikido since 20 years believe me it's the best way to staying alive , philosophically I use psychology that's it . In my state army practice cooksoul if you know it . I practice mma now . Keep peace bro .
