Gimnazija Kranj Great Christmas Concert 2017 - Invitation to the Dance. Gimnazija Kranj Symphony Orchestra and United Choirs performed this stunning music under the baton of maestro Nejc Bečan. The Orchestra sold out two consecutive nights, december 18th and 19th, 2017 in Gallus Hall, Cankarjev doma, Ljubljana, Slovenia, EU. They played as usual with great spirit and musical excelence. Concert master is Nejc Avbelj. Our youth orchestra set another musical milestone. Sound design: Mitja Krže; Concert and film director: Primož Zevnik;

"Ain't No Mountain High Enough" is an R&B/soul song written by Nickolas Ashford & Valerie Simpson in 1966 for the Tamla label, a division of Motown. The composition was first successful as a 1967 hit single recorded by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell, becoming a hit again in 1970 when recorded by former Supremes frontwoman Diana Ross. The song became Ross' first solo number-one hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and was nominated for a Grammy Award.

There are not many things in this world that can make people feel good than beautiful young people like this displaying their talents and sharing them with the rest of society. Thanks to all those involved in groups like this around the world. If we had more of this and less radicals running lose the world and society would be a much better place to be. This great performance of the 1967 classic hit song from Motown, written by Ashford and Simpson and originally performed by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell, proves once again of its timeless appeal to the masses. I loved this song as a teenager and still love it today. It’s the ringtone on my phone for my youngest granddaughter, age 17. My daughters and grandchildren all consider it a favorite song. Music is universal and I always enjoy seeing other ethnicities and cultures finding pleasure in performing American pop tunes. This is a really impressive and talented group of musicians and singers!
