PAC/Chengdu JF-17 Thunder Displays Maneuvers at Dubai Airshow - AIN

9 ай бұрынThe multirole JF-17 Thunder (also known as CAC FC-1 Xiaolong) flying at the Dubai Airshow is a joint venture between the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex and China’s Catic group, and is being offered as a supersonic replacement fighter for militaries using older 2nd generation combat aircraft.
The aircraft offers low acquisition cost, compared with other new fighters. At the same time, the JF-17 provides the low operating costs that come with a new, more efficient aircraft as opposed to the much higher operating and maintenance cost associated with competing second-hand, earlier-generation fighters.
The JF-17 is powered by a Klimov RD-93 afterburning turbofan, delivering 11,105 pounds of thrust or 19,280 pounds with afterburner, allowing for a top speed of Mach 1.6.

Guys I have news for you...Yesterday, Tejas flying demo was cancelled due to technical issue today it landed immediatley after take off due to some serious malfunction, rose serious conceren about flight safety to Dubai Civil Aviation...on the other hand jeffy is flying every day with no problem at all...Alhamdolillah...

It's on afterburners during this demo, which is why there is no smoke. The RD-93 smokes on MIL Power, not on afterburners. Also it looks to be a hazy day.

@@zeeshanabbasi2590 Maybe, maybe not. No one knows what the PAF has planned for the future, they might focus on procuring more J-10Cs instead. Time will tell. Switching the engine is an expensive endeavor, and there is no guarantee this will happen.

@abramar123 j10 is better with more hard points It is good to replace the Mirage fleet with JF17 and j10 will replace the f16 if the parts issue is not solved. And for the main fighter, 30 Turkish KAAN or j31 or fc 31 will be the 5th gen fighter

This particular aircraft is a Block II, serial number starts with 16 ie delivered in 2016. First Block III was delivered in 2022. Block III is on static display on the ground.

please no need to trash talk about Indian jets. its a great achievement that both countries can field their locally built planes in the internationals airshows. J-17 had Chinese support whereas Tejas is purely HAL project together with some components from other countries.

India is going use home made AESA radar on Su-30 soon trails have begun. Only thing is India can't sell it. Now the question is can Pakistan sell JF-17 without China????

Ja k apna tejas dekhlo, slow as hell! Nend ajati a usko urtay dekh k, JF17 is much more quick and manoeuvrable on its axis! Its 90, 180 and 360 degree turns are much much more quick and precise, very sharp! Tejas is not as quick turning as JF. And is slow as well, probably due to high amount of drag from that design!

Does Pak has money for overhaul of this Aluminum stealth fighter. TEJAS radar picks enemy aircraft away from 120km where as enemy' can detect Tejas at 75km distance since it's small a , Tejas has deadly India, Israeli BVR missile.
