As a born Jew and an American, I support (demand?) a ban on all elected and appointed office holders in the US from holding any dual citizenship with any nation other than the US. A FARA Act for office holders. We can calculate the career trajectory of any politician who proposes such a bill. Not sure we can vote our way out of anything anymore. Kaczynski was right.

This is a terrible, inherently Nativist idea and won't achieve what you think it will. It will only prevent immigrants and first generation US Americans, many of whom have dual citizenship with their/their parents' country of origin, from being able to pursue public office. What we need is to get money out of politics as much as possible. Bribery is essentially legal here, as long as you jump through a couple easy hoops.

isreael does have its own weapons industry.... But I read that much of the aid we send them carries an obligation to spend that money in the U.S. of course in cooperative congressional districts

This is a valuable discussion and series and I'm glad the contributors are committed to this cause. However, it bothers me that both Justice Democrats and DSA were key reasons Biden was elected despite watching the Democrats rig their own primaries against Bernie Sanders for the second time. All of their elected 'progressive' candidates have been utter failures in congress, refusing to act on the mandates by which they were elected and instead offering excuse after excuse for why they have become conventional Democrats. Every last one of them has voted to fund Biden's proxy war against Russia, increase the Pentagon budget, and fund the Iron Dome project as well as send billions to Israel before October 7. It's time for these organizations to divorce themselves from the Democrats entirely and endorse and support third parties or else they will always be enabling everything they claim to oppose.

USA is beholden to RELIGIOSITY. From this evolves a bipolarity, where extreme beliefs are diametrically opposite of what actions it undertakes. Unfortunately when one of your listeners states “from river to sea”, it explains further why there is support for Israel as the Jewish homeland. There is such an increase in antisemitism. It’s not the Jews in Israel yet Hamas and Hezbollah wants to eradicate Israel and Jews.

It is a false acusation, that a freedom chant as "from the river to the sea" means the killing of the Jews. It is a freedom song, not a "lets kill everyone who is not palestinian" song. Israel is trying to present it as an antisemitic song, because that is the argument they make to try to silence any form of criticism, and I personally feel tired of those false acusations in orther to achieve complicit silence (you are either antisemitic, a terrorist or a Holocaust denier if you are critic of what the state of Israle is doing). But also: did you know Jews are trying to register that frase as their copyright?
