Founder of Air Berlin was an American. German airlines were not allowed to offer air service to and from Berlin. After the reunification, Air Berlin became a german company, in the beginning serving destinations to the Mediterranian from smaller airports. Only a view years ago, AB took over LTU and its short and long range network and became Germany's biggest charter airline. The A330 were LTU planes.

What was the AC taking off the parallel runway? Sounded like a B757?

@dak1lla90 yes you can fly with a codershare and AB flight number but the plane is AA not air belin plane
