I love to make my version of these with Italian sausage and ground up pepperoni. And because dipping in marinara sauce makes them even better, I form them into a log shape instead of balls to make dipping them less messy.

We always made sausage cheese balls for Christmas when the kid's were little. Sometimes they were fantastic but usually they were just good. We only added 3 ingredients. Will have to try your recipe!! It looks so much more moist and juicy.

I have made sausage cheese balls for over 45 years. Use bisquick, jimmy dean sausage and freshly graded sharp cheddar. No sour cream, no butter. Always turn out amazing. Thanks for the idea to cook them in the foods though!
@TheSaltedPepper2 жыл бұрын
The Bisquick has the oil in the mix. I’m curious if you add any liquid.

@@TheSaltedPepper I never have! And they have always turned out so good. Definitely have to be careful to not overcook them though. They will dry out. I may try adding a little cream this time though.

I've always used 2 cups of bizquick mix, bag of shredded cheddar, bag of shredded jack or mozzarella, 1 thing of sausage. And in oven on 375 and turn half way thru cooking and just eyeball the color. I've never tried in air fryer but im sure it's even better

Question on Ninja Foodi Pressure Cooker: I purchased my 8 quart unit last November and have LOVED it, in part due to your great instruction. I would like to replace the inside pot and grill with stainless steel only, no nonstick coating. Can you point me in the right direction to replace these items?

When we do sausage balls for county wide church functions, I somehow always end up getting the ones that are as dry as a desert. 😅I wonder if they will allow me to dictate everyone must use your recipe this year? Lol

My mouth is watering!! I was wondering if you could use that strainer “thingy” (I cant remember what it’s called, I have such a bad memory 🤪) to pick them up. I took ages to get round to watching your training course videos (I started watching them yesterday!) I have one of those strainer “thingys” and I find it so handy!

I have never seen butter used. I always figured there was enough oil and fat from the sausage and cheese. But that’s interesting.
@TheSaltedPepper2 жыл бұрын
You can probably skip it, but I was basing it loosely on my biscuit recipe and the fact that many recipes use Bisquick which has oil in it. A lot of the butter/grease drained out, but they didn’t stick! 😂
