In our last video, we explored the broader reasons that led to the sale of Air Jamaica. Today, we're diving into one of the most dramatic and damaging aspects of its history: the persistent issues with narcotics trafficking that plagued the airline for three decades. We'll look at the major incidents that involved narcotics, the repercussions, and the measures taken in response.

I was working at n.m.i.a 1989 when they seized an Air Jamaica A300 planevat m.i.a . They fired all the staff that loaded that plane that night . No small man not putting 2 tons of weed on a plane . Big Wigs have a hand in it .

And Jamaicans whine and complain about everything and yet we are our own worse enemy. Still going on today. No one will turn in their friends or relatives that engage in activities that undermine the country but are the first to cry out once the long term effects come back to haunt us.

JAMAICA is like Nigeria we don,t have the National pride to own and run out own airline , Control our own port of entry, that,s why criminals can dump fake everything in Jamaica, anyone can transport any kind of dangerous food chemical in the Island without anyone noticing it

@GI4JESUS 18 күн бұрын
Facts, this is the same culture of secrecy that is allowing criminal elements to weild their stranglehold on the country. It's crazy that in a country where almost each person in any community knows his or her neighbors a mile on either side yet no one knows who's the killer. When will people see that greed and selfishness will lead to quick luck and long term destruction?

I live here in the Bahamas and I’ve only seen this Airline once when I was a child. I always wondered what happened to it. I remember this airline because it was the only one that had an interesting and beautiful color scheme that most definitely stood out from every other airline I’ve seen. It truly was a memorable plane. I’ve even heard that the food on the plane was to die for

Love, Honor and Respect to Air Jamaica the greatest Air Plane on Planet Earth. In fact, the need to bring back Air Jamaica and put it back on the throne with it belongs. Yes, really missed the Jamaican Pride by having our own Air Plane, the real Jamaican Food on Air Jamaica, the real Jamaican Black People, the real original Reggae and Dancehall Music that they played on Air Jamaica. Yes, losing the Air Jamaica was the biggest mistake Jamaica ever made. After that, everthing else that ever happened to Jamaica is bad luck.

Yes Air Jamaica has had challenges with drug smuggling at times but the real down fall of the air line was sabotage my the "International community "all to illuminate the air line (the competition). Most of those drug finds were planted by "operatives ". Having Jamaicas route is seriously lucrative business

Jonson-jf9tm...So how would you explain the amounts and frequency of massive amounts of drugs that were consistently found on the airline, and in luggage? The problem as I see it with us Jamaicans, is that we are always in denial when something goes against us as Jamaicans, or Jamaica itself. We need to be honest and own our faults... after all, no one is perfect and nothing is ever what it seems.
