The original "Lightning" colourway of the Air Jordan 17 Low finally received its first retro, as Jordan Brand brought them back in late May just a few weeks ago. Staying true to what MJ wore in the 2002 NBA All-Star Game, it features a soft white leather, chrome detailing, and striking yellow along the TPU on the midsole. 😂 they’re brutal , & MJ knows they were responsible for missed dunk …. so happy I resisted the FOMO purchase. We got 2 Social Status here in Pittsburgh within 5 miles of each other. Both of them did FcFs on a lot of pairs because we have a smaller population than the other cities with Social Status stores so they were available, but I’m not standing in crazy lines at my age. My son offered to stand in line in DC but I told him it’s all good. I’ll wait for the UNC17 low. I’m hoping they come out with the Facebox and just the dust bag because all this briefcase does is bring out a bunch of people that would never buy them otherwise.

Had to pay a bit over retail, but no way close to what they’re going for on StockX or GOAT now. Managed to get my preorder in before the prices went through the roof. I love the 17, and these have been on my radar since they were announced. I also think they’re a bit more comfortable than you give them credit for, but I know comfort is subjective. Great review!

Synthetic tongue on $300 kicks is where I draw line. Wait, you’re gonna tell me they didn’t give you a real OG polyurethane insole with this that looks like ortho lite almost. Love outsole & jazz theme of mids though
