9’s will forever be underrated and I’ll always love them

Best channel for reviews hands down.

Went with my kids to buy their back-to-school shoes this last weekend...and be still my heart, my middle son took one look at these...at age 9...and looked at me and asked "Dad, can we get those this year" I said "buddy if that's what you want, that's what we'll get"! I think I was giddier than he was. Proud Dad moment.

My pair of OG 9s was actually wearable until recently. They had a good 25 year run but sadly now crumbling year 30 🥺

These are my all time favorite AJ9s. And the nostalgia factor on these is crazy for me. Trying to keep it brief with a trip down memory lane but after my first ever pair of Js , AJ8 Aquas in '93 , and then seeing so many older kids in my neighborhood with these 9s not so long after , i really wanted the PB9s as well. But parents weren't having it / so didn't happen , only retro i ever had of PB9s were the 2010 and those were such a bad retro (as were many other Js in that era) materials and if memory serves shape was off on the 2010 Powder Blue 9s either. So a clean back to OG specs PB9 retro like these is a must cop for me. I am tempted to see if they go on sale like i was able to do with the Burgundy 5s , Chambray 7s and other Js of late. But i also suspect these might sell out. One way of the other def adding these to the collection. Only downside is this colorway is very difficult to keep clean but luckily so many good cleaning products / methods now.

This channel gives me almost the same feels as opening s shoe box. I am still waiting for my Saturday morning Mr and Mrs....

I was arguing with a dude the other day about the 23 in the back. He was telling me it was on the og. I had to tell him I was sitting there looking at my Og pair and it does not 😂

It’s really dope they brought these back. Gotta love all the details. But the powder blue shoe I’m wanting to return is the 10. Bring those back with that recent Orlando and Seattle materials and build and I’ll be so happy! Also, old fashions are sooooooo underrated. Just that simple donut with a cup of coffee puts me in the best mood lol

For whatever the 2010 retro was the only colorway to have the Jumpman facing the correct direction… mine are still clean & wearable but these are a must whenever they go on sale of course lol

Sooooooo happy they FINALLY flipped the jumpman to face the proposer direction!!! This is one of my fav colorways of the shoe. As for the question of the day, I’d have to say zero stories/ floors…because that’s a Todd problem! The donuts are mine! 😂🤣💁🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️ If he really wanted one…he’d better come down, I’m not wasting food for anyone’s convenience!

A couple reason from what I heard over the years of why the 23 not featured on the heel. The original 9 was designed with the 23 on the back because it was prior to his retirement. The brand didn’t know he would retired when the shoes were sent to be made. Shoes are prepped and such 18 months out from release. Once rumblings were heard he was going to retire the shoe was to be worn by many other players and college teams. The PE versions for some players had their numbers while college teams didn’t have anything. It was a clean slate look they wanted to go for as the shoe was not being worn by him anymore

I just picked up my first Jordan 9 in cool grey colorway. Found them in 9/10 condition at a thrift store for only $120!

Just got the glow 3’s. Chris was right about his assessment on the shoe. They didn’t fly crazy.

Here I am doin' all the things for the algorithm, in order to say thanks again Jodi and Chris for all that you do. The silhouette of the 9's has aged well in my opinion, so it's good to see this colorway back with the details done well and nice materials. I think I'll try to catch them on sale. And Todd can be as many stories up as he wants to be--I'm faking throwing the donut and keeping that ma hunchy for myself.

I have the 2010 still. I would love to own these to wear but I don't buy retros anymore other than team retros with a coupon or sale. Also the 2010 jumpman was actually facing the right way too. I remember being surprised they did something right. The charcoal that released around that time was flipped but I still bought them. Man the 9 has some of the best colorways on any jordan imo.

You make shoes look so cool, the history and material reviews are my favorite parts. This is the best sneaker channel on KZfaq. I wanted these shoes to be Carolina blues so badly though and since they aren’t I had to pass…. Might regret this later though!

I have my 2010 pair with the '23' on the back heel and my pair is still good and my pair is still new still no defaults at all after all these years,I won't be copping the 2024 version, in good with my pair

I really enjoyed the inner sock coming from huarache in AJ VII, VIII and IX when I hopped in those at the time. Incredibly comfortable and ahead of their time

AJ9’s are typically the most comfortable AJ silhouette for me. I finally ordered my pair to get some points with JD/FL. I hope these are as comfortable as the Chili 9’s were because I didn’t try them on. That said, great review. This is one of the best drops of the year!
