Bro the 2012s hold up like champs to be honest but ofc (depending on how they were stored) but always check for separation. Mine are good I wear them a lot still really clean

I'm 35 and I remember when the 96 breds dropped I love the 19 way better than the 12s. I'm glad I sold my 12s not knowing that the 19s were coming out. So it all worked out.

If i was to be brutally honest i prefer the 2012 version as far as looks🤷🏽‍♂️. The 2019 version is the only one ive ever owned, but from what i can see on this video i like the 2012 more.

The only thing better on the 2012 (IMHO) is the stitching. I hate how 2019 leather cut shows color on the edges. That’s the only issue with 2019.

It is funny reading the comments about the 2019 looking cheap. They actually used real leather on the 2019 pair which is why you see that white lining along the patent leather. 2012 has synthetic leather. Also, the reason why we started getting the lower cut is because Jordan Brand was trying to skimp on materials. Less patent leather equals lower production cost. Most of the upper of the 2012 is that ballistic mesh. So it's just funny reading the comments about what looks cheaper versus what was actually cheaper. I personally prefer the 2019 but I respect your opinion. ✊🏾

My BF has been obsessed with Breds since '96, but has never been able to own a pair. I just bought him the 2019 ones for his 40th. He hasn't worn them yet as he wants to keep them perfect for as long as possible! I'm happy that the 2019 ones are closer to the OG than the 2012's.

The 2012 version almost 10 yrs old. Of course wearing it for so long It's going to feel better vs the 2019 straight out of the box. The 2019 bred 11 will break in way better. I bought my 2012 bred 11s new and they were not as comfortable as the 2019 straight out the box.

I got the 11 lows cement grey on the way for $190 from flight club but besides that colorway nothing else is available unless it's like $500 for breds or cool greys from goat or StockX which is too much. If someone can put me on how to do this lmk cuz im tryna buy J11s for a reasonable price 💯

I had the 2012 Bred, sold it days ago and double up on the 2019. 2019 > 2012 obviously. All the details are on point and 2019 is clearly a better pair. The white lining on the patent leather and black/white carbon fiber makes the shoe pop! 2012 is nice but 2019 any given day.

Nice video comparison RiiO. My opinion. I tried so hard to cop the 2012s on their release date, but struck out. I copped this years pair which sealed the deal for me. On the 2012s. I love the dark checkered carbon fiber plate as to the 2019s pair. And I really dig that all black look on the raw cut of the patten leather from the 2012 pair. So overall 2019 for me takes the win by a hair. The fact that the 2019 pair sit higher giving a more comfort feel around the ankle makes it seem like walking for long periods will not hurt your feet. The toe box is more rounder n contour to a actual foot. 2012 pair just looks low to the ground. And maybe slight comfort for those longer walks or wears. All in all good video, And good comparison. if anyone has both can’t go wrong with an iconic shoe.

this is my first time owning a pair of 11s period and after watching reviews the one thing I don’t like about this version vs older versions is the lack of cushion around the ankle area on this pair. Also no one ever mentioned that you should go a half size up! Mannnnn I hope mine fit when they come in. Dope vid my guy!

good unique video to do on feet comparison. on that note, realistically for those who are casual person just wanting the shoe and could care less about being close to OG, even the 2012 is fine if just wearing to wear. When you standing up straight looking down on someone feet or few feet apart, or heck even 10 feet apart, the high patent leather and white lining and the black/white CF aint gonna matter because you wont even notice. i get it close ups etc of course. There are too many goofy AF sneakerheads making such a big deal. In the end its Nike/Jordan making the money, not yall. Thanks I AM RIO P for the vid

2019 is the pair I’m going with. I like the high patent leather because it stands out much better. The shape for the 2012 doesn’t even look proper. I let go of my Pantone 11a because of that reason.

Don't know about the rest of y'all but i gotta go with 2012. My pair of the 19s the 23 in the back is crooked as hell! Also the is faded. I put the 12 and 19 side by side and i couldn't believe that a 7 to 8 year old shoe the 23 on the back is more defined then a brand new pair. SMH! Nike u tripping!!

2012. Bias because that’s the pair that I have but as soon as I saw the 2019s I could notice most of the differences and didn’t like them as much. Still the best Retro Jordan from a looks stand point in my opinion

I have to go with the 2019 pair personally. The high cut patent leather sets them off as well as the narrow look and the lace stripes on the upper are more defined and stitched tighter which gives a more durable look versus the 2012 having a more wrinkly flimsy look which was not pointed out in the video. I mainly noticed that in the on foot scene. However, I do agree with you on the 2012 pairs having a cleaner look with the black cut on the leather, but I prefer the 2019 grayish cut on the leather because it gives it a more natural nostalgic look which matches closest to the original. The main thing about the 2019 pair I would swap with the 2012 is the carbon fiber. As far as I can remember, the gray and black chess board looking carbon fiber matches the original the closest.

Great video. I have the 12’s and bought the 19’s. I do prefer the look of the 12’s with less patent leather. I like that the 19’s reflect the original 96 version. I wanted those so bad when they were released but they sold out too quick.

If I could have only one Jordan silhouette to have and rock…it would be hands down the timeless clean grail Jordan won with the 🏆 chip that is the Jordan 11 Breds. The 2012s feel more comfortable in my humble opinion.

When you watch it from the a worm's-eye view the 2012 look very good but when you watch it from birds eye view the 2019 looks so much better

@@JasonT2300 lol I do have them but that's childish. Anyways it's just cuz of the way the shoe looks. Higher cut, overall slimmer and theres something about the white outline on the patent leather that looks so good.

I prefer the High Patent Leather...it gives the shoes an overall better look...if you ask me 11s are supposed to be narrow not rounded....I personally hate the way the 2012s look compared to the 2019s....
