Always love ground boarding. you get to example the plane as you enter it. the air koryo series I love. soviet era ( at times) and Russian aircraft you hardly ever get to see. many thanks

at 2:40, took off with flap extended. Increasing lift but at the same time also increasing drag. Normally for landing only.

Thank you for sharing this series with us. Really unfortunate they didn't allow you to film in more detail, but that much could be expected. At least we got a glimpse at an airline mos to us aren't very likely to fly. Although it seems you had an enjoyable experience, I bet you were glad to be out of there ;)

it's normal to take off with flap extended , it gives you more lift while taking off and it will also make your take off smoother ... and while taking off Thrust>Drag , so it doesn't matter. :)

Hey, I'm just curious, how do you guys got to film Air Koryo's fleet? I don't mean to offend anyone, but North Korea's regime is really shadowy and restrictive about pretty much anything. I'm surprised you were let to film in such a detail. Great video by the way. I really enjoyed the TU-154 one, great machine.

Taking off with the flap extended also lowers the takeoff speed.

There must always be a balance. Planes can crash because of a lack of lift, so that's why they need flaps.

The pilots sometimes lower the flap for quicker rotation of the aircraft if the runway is short or if it is hot which prevents elevation

thank you for your video, read show more, nice flight, you are welcome when it possible to made photos and videos of AIR KORYO, the cabin and ground service will help you if they can, we have had that our cabin service to passangers, and that food service are between 3 or 4 stars on AIR KORYO

How can people fly into North Korea and how long does it take to get a visa? I'm half American AND half Japanese so it's a double whammy so would it be safe to travel to North Korea one day?

There are more modern Russian planes than this, But you can't really blame them for the kinds of Airplanes they use. Once they tried ordering some A320s But it got rejected by Airbus.

The TU-204 is the Ugly and uncool russian version of the Boeing 757 which i think is a nice aircraft .

The Tu-204 is really quiet, and it's wingspan is longer, plus u can never go wrong with Russian/Soviet made passenger jets. Like the IL-62, and the Sukhoi 100 which kicks the 737's American ass
