REVIEW: Ruger Super Hawk Air Gun - CO2 6mm BB Air Pistol - This cracking air gun really punches out the BB's, time after time, making a impact on everything it hits. It launches BB's at around 540 feet per second, so this is no skirmish gun, but an air gun in it's own right. Revolver styling with an 8 inch long barrel this is a true beauty, however shorter barrel versions are available. I decided on the biggest and the longest. Averaging 70 accurate shots per 12g capsule, before shots begin to dip. Weighing over 2lbs, this nearly all metal monster is fast becoming a favourite winner in the air pistol world.

This video contains a review of a pellet / BB pistol. Its powered entirely by spring actioned co2 compressed air and uses no gunpowder and must not be confused with any form of tactical firearm. My Targets are paper and tins.

Bought myself one of these, it's a nice gun, really nice gun. Totally agree, it's comfy to hold, nice to shoot, beautiful to look at. Few things though, first - customized the pistol grip so it would not wobble, second - sound is weaker than Colt 2011 (green gas) which is a shame really, cuz a power output is insane, other than that, perfect revolver, I can't recommend it enough.

i've got a real S&W 686 with an 8-3/8" barrel, all stainless and a bit heavier, and it chucks .357 +P magnums, it's grip is rubberized just like that ruger, made in asia for umarex in germany... try saying that 3 times fast! ;)

If I used 6Grain Steel BB's does anyone know the FPS to this gun? I think its a little miss leading advertising at 550 FPS when it's only firing plastic.

I have the 11inch one and it seems to be blowing up the BBS when they exit the barrel. Is this just a BB weight issue? They are 6mm but it don't say on the box what weight to use. I was using 0.20g or could it simply be quality of BB?

How can you put the top rail on? I got mine with the rail removed and I can't figure out how to put the top rail on..

If its anything like my friends gun then you'll need to remove the rear sight in order to slide it into place and then tighten it using the allan key.

When I shoot mine quickly, the bullets fly shattered out of the barrel. Anyone else has this? Not sure why. ..

@@mikkelmadsen8597 yeah its because the drum isn't aligned with the barrel properly. The tooth which rotates the drum after each shot, causes the drum to rotate too far, so as the bullet leaves the drum it crashes into the barrel entrance, as the barrel and the drum aren't aligned. I remedied this by putting some tape where the tooth is, to dampen the rotation of the drum, this way, it aligns better with the barrel after each shot. Also be sure not too jerk the trigger too aggressively. Best to cock each shot.

This Gun is NOT FUN in Airsoft games. Had a battle today, out of 11 players 2 had this super hawk... a mate got hit with it from 25meters and he had blood on his face. That is not fun man
