@@TheGamingDragon_Thejuker The thing is that since those bubbles have a lot of power, they push the fish and they are slow swimmers, which means that it will move them and stress them if they want to go through there.

@@1versal4 No, it doesn't help because the only thing it does is push them, and since they are slow swimmers they will be easily pushed and sometimes they stay in that current of bubbles, what it will do is stress them instead of oxygenating them.

Its a power head not a wave maker , they are two different things , and they are not stressful for fish when using the correct size one in the correct size tank with the correct fish!

@@Swomie some of them do some do not but fancy goldfish are not the best swimmers due to their make up , they swim just fine they just are not strong swimmers , a couple of mine hang out in it at the top a bit

@@Swomie but in this case the aquarium is a bit too small , they do not have a “retreat” to get away from the stronger flow when they need a break , I have mine I. A 125 gallon where the flow is not strong , and I do not leave it on all of the time powerheads provide a lot of benefits for the fish and aquariums

This guy have double tail goldies and ranchu goldfish, they are hate flow, specially rancu goldies. Their fins are too small.

I use a wave maker in my aquarium of comunity fish all fish are small fish like young neon/cardinals plus many many tiny baby guppys mollys shrimp also. Does the fish good if placed on a timer during daytime rather than night when lights go out at night making them easy to be sucked into the wave maker hence its off during dark hours.

Power heads are used to create flow in a tank to clean the substrate up, if put on the same side as the filter inlets , the flow goes to the other side and returns all the junk to the inlet for it to be sucked out, helping keep the tank cleaner, if aimed toward the surface, yes it agitates the surface which drives out co2 and allows oxygen to go into the water “the gas exchange” these are the main features of using a powerhead.
