The Air Traffic Controller (ATC) Assessment Test is a series of standardized tests that evaluate a candidate's ability to perform the duties of an air traffic controller. The ATC assessment test is typically administered by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in the United States, or by other regulatory bodies in other countries. The test consists of several components, including the Air Traffic Skills Assessment (AT-SA) and the Biographical Assessment (BA).
The AT-SA evaluates a candidate's ability to process information and make decisions under pressure, and includes tests such as the AT-SAT (Air Traffic Selection and Training), the AT-SAT CBI (Cognitive-Based Assessment), and the AT-SAT Work Sample Test. The BA, on the other hand, assesses a candidate's background, work experience, and other personal attributes that may be relevant to the job of an air traffic controller.

Oddly, I didn’t do all that well in math, but still had a very successful career as an ATC. ATC is pretty much nothing but math as every situation is basically breaking a tie. We also have only three options, speed, altitude & turns. There isn’t this much time during the actual test to go through this whole process. Quick thinking is a requirement to succeed as an ATC. An ATC also has to have 3 or 4 plans available for each aircraft as the chances of plan “A” rarely works.

10:57 = 25. Multiply the top 2 numbers and add 1. Im curious how are people getting other answers. Is there another solution?

The amount the top left box increases multiplied by 3 and then added to the middle number. From the first box to the second, the number increased by 3. 3*3 + 7 = 16. From the second box to the third, the number increased by 1. 1*3 + 16 = 19. From the third box to the fourth, the number increased by 2. 2*3 + 19 = 25.

Answer is d. 390 because all the numbers are multiples of 3. And out of all options given only 390 is a multiple of three.

for 10:59 is the answer c because, the top left number changes and shows a pattern, like 2=7 5=16 6=19 so my explanation is it is increasing by 3 for the? the top left cube says 8: 2=7 | 3=10 | 4=13 | 5=16 | 6=19| 7=22 | 8=25

but it is most likely expressed as top x top plus 1/2 the bottom since we are multiplicative, which would work even if they weren't all "2's" a rule / expression that always works...

Can you pleas explain the problem at 14 minutes? All the other problems are not too bad, but this one has no logical solution that I can find. Some comments alude to 390 being correct but the reason given doesn't make sense. I would LOVE an explanation properly.

10:13 I disagree, the bottom part is correct however if you not only follow the rainbow colors, but their location in the bar below together you will find another answer. Yes the red rainbow should be on bottom, however in the first picture the red square is in the center, and it’s on top, in the second picture the blue is on top and it’s on the far right, then in the third picture the yellow is on top and it’s one away from the far right. So, therefore in my opinion the correct answer is B, because on the bottom it has the green in the center, and it has the red on the bottom, and IT ALSO has the green on top repeating the patters of the location from the first picture using the center color to go on top. Hopefully that makes sense.

@@Steve_Hunts96 How I found 25. The top right 3 and bottom 2 are constant, so ignore those. When 2 becomes 5. Thats +3. The middle result changed +9. When 5 becomes 6. Thats +1. The middle result changed +3. So the pattern is +3 per change. If 6 becomes 8. Thats +2. The middle result should be +6. (2 x 3 >> The change per 1 integer is +3 remember) 19+6 = 25

I'm getting 23. I notice a pattern and it is evolving. 2+3+2=7, 5+3*2=16, 6+3*2+1=19, 8+3*2+1=23. But it also could be 8+3*2+2=24. I'm afraid I have to disagree that its 25.

There is no +1 for the 3rd box. It seems like there should be but your forcing it there. Also how would you know if the last box would get +1

I think it is : 1) (12*3)+6=42 because [ 4+2=6 ] 2) (42*3)+3=129 because [1+2=3 and 3+9=12 giving 1+2=3] 3) (129*3)+3=390 because [3+9=12 giving 1+2=3] ?

Via sequence steps, multiply the outside number 129 by the inside 3 then add the inside number to the multiplied value to get the sum 287+3= 390.

Answer should be 64 because you are adding both digits to each other AND THEN multiplying them. (1+7)*(1+7) = 64. This matches the pattern that is already set in place by the other numbers as well

13+13= 16 14+14=26 15+15=36 16+16=46 17+17=56 In the next one follow pattern which is only upper left digit multiplying with three and then add so 2*3+19=25 In the next one 12*3=36+6=42 42*3= 126+3=129 129*3=387+3=390 And in the last one option B is the correct option by following the pattern.
