In those days, it was common to aim at a target 100 yards away with an air gun and hit it in the middle. The FX impact is sold for about $6000 in Japan, so it's not something I can afford, but I'm looking forward to the Pantera's release in Japan. Nice video, and one thing ....Aerodynamic jump and magnus effect are 2 different subjects, spinning of the projectile(gyroscopic effect), cause vertical deflection of projectile in crosswind,slower twist = less vertical

Like all expert shooters that educate themselves in physics and engineering. The pressure at which the projectile is most stable is preferred. Do some testing or go home

I cannot believe how eloquent your talks about your passion affected me. I listened to your 2 hour video you made about slug construction. It seemed like 5 minutes to me. Has anybody used nitrogen to power guns? I come from the air cannon community. I rent #251 bottles of nitrogen @ 172 bars for peanuts to run my air cannon with a 7'x6" chamber and it will last me all weekend. Why not use cheap nitrogen to fill tanks almost full and top off with compressors?

Hey Matt I really enjoy all the videos and you have spoke in a prior videos how .22 is the best for slugs due to the higher sectional density you can achieve while still fitting within the parameters of the magazine. Don’t you think that if FX decided to market a high capacity magazine with a marginally deeper cavity for the slugs to sit would be awesome? I realize that would be logistically challenging but that could once again up the airgun limits.. or maybe im wrong. Just wondering what your thoughts are on the subject.

Isn't that like saying you rather play a basketball game on a floor slathered in butter, because if you don't, then it all comes down to whose has the best moves on the court and the most accurate shooting skills?
