You were right about cutting the sides and welding them instead of bending them. All the shops down south weld the sides on. There are a few things they do different then what I've seen on your videos so far, but still not bad for buulding a boat in your garage.

looking really good !!! I think put your sides on then push the front where you think it should go then cut the bulkhead to that angle... I would wait on the braces in the floor until you got your interior done so they are not in the way...keep it up looking really good!!!

Looks like you could use a Lazer Level.

Have you herd of country saw& blades out of indiana? I believe it's in Portland,indiana.,or some other city in the state.

Hey they have this coating that goes on the bottom of airboats& pontoonboats& regular johnboats to.,or fiberglass body boats to aswell.

Use A L square.& bubble lines levels for accurate readings.& measurements to be dead on center line to lines. It'll work guys. Y'all are doing 👍 good job on it though.

cool project you have going on here! i am a fabricator in a airboat shop and information is hard to find for sure, seems like alot of tribal knowledge in the industry. i would love to shed some light on some stuff for you and offer some insight on how i approach problems that can appear. heat input into the boat can be a huge issue, especially on a flat bottom boat.

The way your building it will still work to. Just keep everything centered& squared& level& straight in line with each other on both sides end to end.

I think u need to get the sides in and then cut the front bulkhead in. Can’t wait to see what y’all come up with. I have a aluminum hull airboat. If there any measurements or pics I can help with just let me know

I like your videos! Where did you find the big sheet of aluminum for the bottom of the hull? The largest sheet i could find was 5ftx10ft at local shops.

Good job so far, I built a couple of wood airboats in n the late ‘60’s & early ’70’s . A guy named Max started building them out of aluminum about then, we all thought they were the best thing ever. So yeah cut 2.2.& then use those line levels.& L square.& speed square for angles.& your degrees Readings to.

Have you decided what you are going to do with the ends of the tubing to keep it from filling up with water. Also I'm assuming this is a Lake boat because that is going to be real heavy. I think you will find T bar and buck rivets will be much lighter ( on a glades boat) I don't know about lake boats except that are two different animals.

They might have those blades that your needing. They either make their own blades.,or order them theirselfs.& they sharpen them to if the blades aren't in to bad of shape to do that process with used blades aswell.
