Nice presentation as always. I had a Hill compressor and after 2 returns for repair (leaking, no pressure built) I sent it back for refund. Depending on how intensive the individual shooting with airguns is, I recommend to invest into an high quality compressor. Since I have a Bauer Pe 100Tw there are no issues anymore. It fills the bottles very quick without having the need to cool with water (Hill is also air cooled I know). The air is also already filtered and dry.
@Airbuks11 ай бұрын
My Hill still runs strong every week with no problems 👌 that Bauer is a very nice compressor but also costs a nice penny 😉

Is there a way to drain entire system? Other pumps have drain screw to let go excess moisture. Or do you have other way of doing that?

Great review 👌 This looks actually nicer than the original (Yong Heng). My Yong Heng is on its third year now. Change oil every ~1 hour or when the oil starts to turn grey. Add a an additional desiccant filter.
@Airbuks11 ай бұрын
Yes indeed it looks nice . Mine has run now for about 3u and works very good . After the video I changed the first oil as it turned grey but now still looks pretty transparent

First I was a bit skeptical about the additional metal sheet cover on the front but then from the known failure in other brand Yong heng I realized this metal cover actually act as a safety sheald in case of something flying around so it's not bad to have some additional safty.

Hello, it's been a while since the video... One question... I have the same compressor. Is it normal that the red valve always releases air intermittently at slightly higher pressure? Maybe someone knows an answer?

Hello, I want to fill a diving tank with the compressor. If I use a carbon filter, is it safe or will water and oil still get through?

I'm curious to know if this Vevor branded compressor has the same high pressure piston as the Yong Heng. The Yong Heng has a brass piston (with 3 o-rings) recessed into the large low pressure piston vs clones have a aluminum piston with one cup seal butted up against the low pressure piston. Would you mind taking a look inside?

I just ordered this compressor. It's just difficult to find the right adapters to connect it to a DIN scuba tank. I see many DIN 300 bar to 8mm quickconnect adapters with manometer included, but i believe the 300 bar DIN connection is different from the 200 bar connection. I asked the ebay seller about it... waiting for response from them.

There are some adapters available from 300-200 but I don’t know if they exist the other way around? There sure is a solution

Hi! Friend has one of these but its having some issues. Its brand new, and only fills a tank to 1000PSI. any chance you know why?
@Airbuks3 ай бұрын
You might wanna check if you have any leaks in the connections or another possibility is that the piston is fried and can’t buildup enough pressure

I have only problems with mine, first it threw the fuse immediately. The ground wire clamp stood against the windings because it was tightened without looking on it and turned around and made a short circuit. I fixed that. Than at the first fill the safety valve list its functiins. Now the pressure only raises up to 120 bar. The customer service is very slow. I think about giving it back

🤔 interesting , mine is still running fine but I did got it straight from them as a review product and they might have send a unit that was tested. But that isn’t a excuse to send you a faulty one ☝️

What oil did you go with? Also, did you know that there's a one-way check valve that you can get oh and you should consider a oil water separator air filter. they are expensive but i guess you should use one according to these other guys that use this type of Compressor congrats on surpassing 20 K!
@Airbuks11 ай бұрын
I use a synthetic compressor oil that was advised by my local compressor shop . Sinds the recommended oil in the manual isn’t available where I live they gave me a equal replacement Regarding the separator I have on my other compressor 😉 but I wanted to show it in the video as it comes out of the box , but I meantion a few times that you should use a extra filter

Make a connection to the tap and just run cold water through the pump then out the drain. It costs a nickel but it cools better and eliminates a failure point.

Personally I would put the whole setup in a separate room, with a camera to watch along and such electrical socket to cut the power remotely (or get the model with the automatic cut-off function). If 300 bar explodes you're in the hospital........... I'm curious how maintenance is managed with this compressor. Can you send it to the manufacturer to have it maintained or so? Or you just use it until it burns out?
@fredrikcarlen32123 ай бұрын
You have to replace the oil every few running hours, takes a few minutes and you're good to go. Pretty much every part can be ordered, but delivery times will be kind of long. They're really easy to work on, very few moving parts to this thing..

I alway been told to bleed off the pressure first before turning off the compressor, get yourself a best fittings one-way valve and that way you can bleed off the compressor and shut it down without loosing air out your bottle.
@Airbuks11 ай бұрын
Yes the one way valve is a very good extra option I will still need to buy . Regarding the bleeding off . I also have the EC3000 and stops at 300bar automatically ( some budget friendly ones do that aswel ) keeping the system under pressure just like shutting the comp of before closing the valve . I have done it like this and never had any issues
@PaulHamM311 ай бұрын
@@Airbuks for as many people who say never to turn it off under pressure there are the same amount who say to bleed it off then switch off but whatever, i had a yong heng for three years and not had any issues but eventually the water stopped flowing properly, turned out the system was blocked so i bought an entire top end and now its like new, i put calgon in the water bucket now.
@hotchihuahua154611 ай бұрын
These types of compressors can be dependable if maintained properly . They are not like a regular 120psi compressor for your shop. Get GOOD full synthetic compressor oil and change it out frequently . 4500 psi vs 120 psi , you get the picture . Liquid cooled is the way to go ! I like to leave the room when filling those big tanks to 4500psi , just in case . Lol

WOW very affordable Unit. Typically this is the hidden cost of shooting a PCP air gun (well worth it though) I have unit that does not use water or oil (it is the model that Talon Tunes and Air Marksmen rebranded....I know NOTHING about air pumps...is there a benefit to using a unit that uses water/oil? Regardless, this unit looks like a steal for the price. Lots of people are going to jump on this

Yeah, it’s like how a cars engines cooled But instead of coolant its water it’s like the best way. these things get extremely hot. you really should use a bucket of ice water. Thats what I’ve seen others do.
@Notsomuch19 ай бұрын
Coolant bad.. Ice water good No hazmat yeah
@johnb55194 ай бұрын
If I was just filling my gun with it, I would just run the tap water straight through it and not risk trouble from the small pump possibly quitting.
@Airbuks3 ай бұрын
You can do that but I would advise once you are done for the day to blow out the cooling lines with compressed air
@johnb55193 ай бұрын
Yes,, good idea for sure.@@Airbuks
@shiz804811 ай бұрын
Do not use tap water as a coolant! Tap water in many areas contain metal ions. It will corrode your compressor·s aluminum head .use the car coolant and put in a bucket. You can also add ice cubes isolate from coolant in the bucket, or install a water tank cooling device.
@Airbuks11 ай бұрын
Thx for the tips , I am very aware of those things but for the review I wanted to bring it exactly as it’s written in the manual. The water in my house is filtered,softened etc and I blow the channel out after filling. But I have seen people use coolant. Ice in my case wasn’t necessary as the temp never got above 41degrees during the 25 min fill
@Notsomuch19 ай бұрын
A pinch of baking soda in the water will neutralize any acids if you don't have any auto coolant... four years on my yong heng and no sign of any corrosion ...it on average runs twice a week, coolant is way harder to depose of too!

You should NOT stop the compressor before releasing the screws on the side. Add one way valve on the tank side, then close the tank valve, release the pump screws to release the pressure inside and then switch off the pump.
