A huge contrail from an Airbus A380 as seen from cockpit of a Boeing B747 above the South China Sea. We were warned by a HongKong air traffic controller. That's why we were able to film this event.
Apologies for shaky camera movements at the end. The Airbus was going too fast to be able to follow it smoothly.

A380 has very powerful engines , pulls you back into the seat as it speeds up with such a fantastic feeling. The plane is so big that turbulence is very minimal. A master piece of engineering.

Ok ok. Holy crap. The people saying "Chemtrails", blah blah blah have ZERO background knowledge in aviation.. So here's some info... Contrails are very very simple to understand.. The exhaust of a turbine engine contains high temperature water vapor and other things like carbon dioxide, hydrocarbons, soot, etc etc.. As soon as this water vapor enters the extreme cold of the air at 25,000+ feet it condenses on small exhaust particles and then freezes. This is why you see a space between the engines and the contrails.. It takes a second for the vapor to condense and freeze. After a while depending on the humidity and temp at that altitude the ice can either sublimate or melt which is why contrails are different lengths or not existent at all. Its all because of different variables. But its ice... Its always been ice... There is no way that its chemicals meant to do harm to humanity or whatever.. Do you even realize how much all those chemicals to make "chemtrails" that big would weigh? Just to make 4 contrails a mile long would easily take several gallons of liquid. Lets just say a mile long "chemtrail" from a four engine jet aircraft would take 4 gallons of liquid chemicals. (Trust me this is totally reasonable and probably a low ball..) This means to make a "chemtrail" on a flight from New York to Los Angeles would take 10,000 gallons of chemicals.. Where would they store this? In the overhead bins? And 10,000 gallons of liquid would easily weigh 30 tons... Who's paying to fly this stuff? The airlines are barely making ends meet as is. Why do you think people are crammed in planes like sardines? Because they need as much money per square foot as they can get.. Lets be reasonable though... Just to make a "chemtrail" as long as Colorado it would take, say... 1,500 gallons of fluid.. At maybe 6 pounds per gallon thats over 4 tons... Thats about the weight of 32 passengers with baggage.. Who the fuck is gonna pay for these "Chemtrails" when airlines are switching from paper flight manuals to lighter digital ones to save 1.2 Million dollars a year on gas..... Let me say that again... Switching from a heavy book to a lighter tablet PC Saves 1.2 million dollars.... "Chemtrails" are the most uneducated, idiotic, ignorant thing you can come up with as a conspiracy theorist. There is all the knowledge and info in the world to disprove it. Just look out the window at and airport terminal. DO you see a Hazmat truck full of "Brain washing jet smoke from the Illuminati" pulling up to the side of the jet? No... Freaking ridiculous...

***** Its the same people that believe we faked the moon landings. They point out things in the typical newspaper prints and the standard media films. Little do they know there are DAYS worth of films from the moon landing. All publicly available.... They say oh it was done on a set and this is kinda wrong and so is this..Well if you piece all the landing films together you would see it would take 6 different sets with completely original terrain and the largest set would need to be 7 MILES long and 3 MILES wide.... Where did they film it exactly? Just to build an open warehouse for the largest set (Apollo 17's) that size would cost about 16 Billion dollars in 1960's money based on costs of other gigantic warehouses of the 60's... And with a total estimate of the entire Apollo program being 20 billion where did they have the money to film it? Because besides the launch complexes and the actual physical evidence on earth that it happened that remaining 4 billion dollars would be gone before they even bought a camera... And where is this giant film studio today? Hidden by aliens at Area 51? Point is, mathematically it's entirely cheaper to actually go to the moon than it is to fake going to the moon... But the nincompoops still ramble on with idiotic facts about shit they neither prove nor test as being fake.. If they are so interested in being uneducated to the world why don't they just by one of those hats with propeller and introduce themselves as mouth breathing space wasters to their neighbors..

@bobalobalie
@bobalobalie 7 жыл бұрын
+ogrebattle22763 There aren't that many 'near misses', properly called near mid-air collision(NMAC), a year as you incorrectly assert. As well, nearly all of those NMACs are inconsequential. A NMAC is considered anything less than 500ft altitude separation. Normal safe separation altitude is 1000ft between aircraft, as seen in this video. Additionally, it is highly unlikely, number is 1 in 780,000,000 according to the FAA, that two jets will travel at an altitude and heading which will cause a collision. Thus, the few 'near misses' that do occur are hardly near in aviation terms. As long as pilots listen to their TCAS(Traffic Collision Avoidance System), which is installed on all commercial jets flying, there should never be an actual midair collision. BTW, the TCAS overrules everyone, even ATC. ATC says "descend" TCAS says "climb" the pilot is required to climb. The TCAS is never and has never been wrong.

In the old days (1980’s) when normal looking people were (on balance) , normal, and not beholden to some belief system that went around killing everyone, you used to be able to ask to go up to the cockpit on a commercial jet! I once had the thrill to be in the cockpit of a QANTAS 747 as it crossed the north west coast of Australia in the morning, it just so happened to coincide with us passing another QF 747 coming the other way on what looked like a similar altitude but maybe a couple of kilometres horizontal separation, the closing speed must have been phenomenal, and it looked like a bullet.... great thrill and fond memory.

You obviously don't even know what wingtip vortices ARE, let alone what they look like. I don't care if the trails coming out of the engines are radioactive alien mind control mutagen, they're not the wingtip vortices. Contrails or chemtrails or whatever, the way the outer two are being twisted up over the tops of the inner two and then downward between them is due to the wingtip vortices, and this video shows how huge those are for such a heavy aircraft.

Interesting spherical earth confirmation - assuming both aircraft are flying level and that the horizon is just below the top of the murk, the 380 appears to be above the horizon at the start and passes below at the end. This is only possible because the curvature of the earth makes the horizon appear at a down angle of about 3 degrees below level at these altitudes. So the initial view of the 380 is say 2 degrees below level, but above the "horizon". You could use this in discussion with a flattie in the pub, but I wouldn't get your hopes up.
