Day of this video it is now privately owned. Airbus Helicopters is launched a five-bladed version of its H145 light twin that promises operators an increase of 330 pounds (150 kilograms) useful load over the existing version of the aircraft. Five is better than four. That's the math behind the latest iteration of Airbus Helicopters' H145, which the FAA certified in November. Developed in partnership with Japan's Kawasaki, the $9.98 million light twin adds an extra main rotor blade for a total of five and features a bearing-free main rotor system.

Our hospital program is thinking about buying a few of these new 5 blade units. We're like DON'T DO IT. Anyone that watches this video that is considering purchase of a 145T3...... Don't ever fly it in the rain if you do buy one. You will suffer constant balance and ride problems even worse than an EC135. Yes this is basically a 5 bladed EC135 rotor head. Very cool video Ed. Neat to see one actually flying. I won't be surprised if we get to see that one in the coming months on demo.

Very interesting about the rain issue, the pilot's I talk to love the EC135, if they don't purchase the new H145, any other helicopter in mind?

@@EdWhisenantAviation I don't know if it's possible but our current recommendation would be to buy the T2 145 and stay with the old rotorhead and 4 bladed system. My personal preference would be to go back to an Agusta product or maybe a 429.

The back stabilizing rotor is shrouded rather than in open air I see, *awesome!* It actually looks just like the tour chopper I flew over Kilauea in June 2015 which I do remember was built by Airbus... maybe it's the same type of chopper [gasp].

Wow! I love the looks of this one! Is it a army green or black? I can't tell but the Army UH-72s fly down to my GA airport like every week day! I've yet to catch them but I can go inside of it and watch from the hangers! The usually do touch and goes which would be neat to see! Great video!🔥
