Let me write that down ... Don't open the door during a flight ... Got it!

Correction: The cabin is NOT de-pressurized after landing. Rather, the outer air pressure matches and exceeds the inner air pressure. Usually, planes aren't pressurized to full sea level air pressure, so a cabin pressurized at 39,000 feet will be pressurized to a lower level than the outside air pressure where it lands.

Someone send this to Boeing

I once had a flight that depressurized mid flight, honestly that was one of the worst pains I felt in a long time. Even after it happened my ears and head still hurt, luckily it was on a dash 8 so not a high altitude flight or aircraft. Not like the 747s or similar. These systems are small but very helpful. It also made me think of the old B-29 super fortress it must’ve been difficult to do you’re job if the plane lost cabin pressure especially if it was under fire.

The ultimate purpose of AA pressurized cabin, is so that passengers would not need to wear air Masks while in flight

In other words don’t go full re… Trevor Jacobs.

.. And because this is a pressurized cabin door and safety is paramount, you will want to check the parts number on the side of the door between the two locking pins.

Tell that to Boeing

Boeing wishing they had those pins on the 737-9 max right now.

Is that a Cessna 421? Didn’t get a good look. I remember having to replace one of those door seals at one point. At the very aft portion of the plane was a funnel connected to a tube with a valve so you could take a whizz and have it ejected out through a tube on the tail end of the belly.

Literally just watched what happened to one of the first DC-10's and why having internal opening instead outward opening doors is so important. Let's just hope those latches don't fail to engage.

Also the ends of the pins are angled in such a way that it forced the door closed more against the seal.

Just a question can we get a plane tour I'm really interested into private jets!

Its not ‘pressurised’ but rather doesn’t depressurise over 8,000ft, so it doesn’t need to depressurise when the aircraft lands but actually repressurise to the ambient tropospheric atmosphere density of 32psi at sea level

Now multi billion dollar aircraft manufacturers have to learn what keeps a door from flying off .

Your aircraft door will be incredibly hard to open in flight, unless it is a Boeing, those open automatically
