10 key insights for music creators from iconic Canadian-American singer-songwriter, musician and activist Neil Young.
Neil Young is a true artist and musical pioneer. From his early days working with Rick James and Motown Records, to breakthrough success with Buffalo Springfield and CSNY, and on through his many critically acclaimed albums as a solo artist and with Crazy Horse, Young has continually explored new sounds and themes. He has won several Grammy and Juno Awards, and he's a two time inductee of The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Rolling Stone named Young the 34th greatest rock 'n roll artist in 2000.
Young's music has stood the test of time, and in this video we cover key points from interviews in which Neil discusses the creative process, songwriting, sound quality, production and much more.
This video was created for educational and inspirational purposes.

This is late era Neil Young, i think in the sixties and seventies Neil and the others were living not in their minds but in a tremendous creative wave that eventually crested and broke. That was the golden age of music that meant something too. They were living the dream dangerously on the edge.

What I love about him is his passion. Always plays as though it's the final performance. Saw him at Hammersmith London years ago, an hour of solo acoustic, then two and half of stunning electric, plus his very dry humour.

Neil is one smart cookie. I was startled to hear George Harrison didn't like Neil's music. George said he didn't like Neil's voice. George Harrison was my favorite Beatle when they were the Beatles but I hated when George evolved into the my sweet lord Hare Krishna marshmallow meltdown. Huge Beatle fan here. Huge Neil Young fan here!
