@@lolk4530black powder is dangerous to carry around because it can explode on you. This brand however has a pistol that you can carry as well. So I'll take this all day. There is a 2 shot pistol sized shorty shotgun that takes quick loader slugs and powder but still only two shots and would be hard to carry a shorty around especially more dangerous in the summer heat if storing in a car.

AEA website listed the price of both the 15" &22" at just under $1000. A fair price for a pump action big bore. I would opt for the 22" in 50cal, and cast my own ammo. Wonder how 50cal round ball ammo would group? Cool video.

Decided not to go through the hassle of shipping it back, got 100 slugs free for keeping the 50 cal as well. My only gripe is the piece of rail on the bottom. Good idea but it needs more than 2 screws, it moves around some, I wouldn’t trust it to hold with a tripod attached , mine moves side to side , that’s a really minor thing though. Over all it seems like a solid rifle. Nice content by the way, will sub.

In this short barrel configuration what do you think the max range would be to still maintain accuracy 1 MOA or better and a high FPE. I understand that "high FPE" is a loosely relative term. Say high enough to bring down a sizable ferrel hog approx +100 to 150 lbs. As well how reliable do you believe AEA to be. It seems there are a lot of cool air rifles out there and a lot of them seemed to plagued with certain issues. Just learning so thanks to any insight.

I’m a veteran, and a dedicated prepper. I study every new product and even shocked Bin Tac with my knowledge of these products. He confirmed one thing: that value wise, the Challenger.50 cal is the most air gun for the money that they make. Like Hatsan, their mags are not great and they have quality control issues. If an upgraded mag is made, then certain products are worth it. Honestly, for sub-$1000 air guns, it’s a roll of the dice unless you buy Air Force, like my Air Force Escape: Durability, power, w/ a Lothar Walther barrel, and Hand pump friendly in case your compressor is incapacitated. I also think the Avenge X is a worthy purchase, and the closest experience to operating a high end, regulated small bore. For long term reliability, I respect Air Force, Western Air Guns & American Air Arms. Sometimes, it’s worth saving for quality; especially if it’s life and death. Stay safe.

so i see that you are doing pretty well on telling the real on that megaladon, i know because it is a platform that aea made to try and copy what i built. they put that 41mm tank on there to make it not look like what i did. and i adore that, changed the mag a little so the hp mags wont fit. so that is alright. see before i regulated my pump gum the hp max .51cal it got 458fpe on that first shot like the mega does, and that is from having larger barrel port holes than stock hp barrel porting. they learned the size that is possible from yours truely. but aea is not beveling those ports like i did. an they use the 41mm tank so no regulater, smiles but i have a regulater for a 41mm tank, it is in my hp standard custom edition now in a 500cc 41mm tank. and when i get a mega next year after all the hub bub i will put the 500cc 41mm tank on the front of a mega with a regulater in it , and not need the back tank to fill but will have the back tank as a hot swap, smiles and 7750cc total volume and the regulater that will take that 458 fpe and turn it into 350fpe and 18 consistent shots like i have in my hp max .51cal with 22 inch barrel , 500cc tank and external regulater and pump action kit made for going past that external reg. longer slide arm is the difference. and so aea comes a step closer to my mods in this platform. i need to put that rear tank adapter i have on this max and get the rear stock tank kit for it. giggles but i am stubborn, my hp max .51 pump action regulated only weighs 7 lbs. and would be that same weight as the 22 inch mega if i put the rear stock tank on. i like my lighter pump gun my folding stock has a magnet on it that keeps it closed untill i want it open. nice video , and that is why i am waiting to get a mega, i already have better than that. 18 consistent shots is good for hunting,. and the barrel band has my front sight and rear is on the rear pick rail making a long iron sight line and that is accurate as heck. my barrel band has 6 rails on it 1 top and bottom and 2 on each side. i love this pump action gun, it is like the size of a pistol grip shotty and the folding stock takes it to another level with a 7lb weight , goodness. and aea cannot figure how to get the pump and the regulater both working. smiles 8mm aluminum rod threaded on the inside m5 with m5 althread on the end to attach the plate and hoop . easy. take care. and enjoy that mega. the last word @AIRGUNZ_MILITIA YOU TUBE

@AIRGUNZ_MILITIA Ай бұрын
@@AirgunChannel smiles yeah. the hp max has the same issue too heavy and you gotta beat on it, if they give the platform to you i can explain a mod that can fix that issue completely friend. or two mods depending on how you enjoy the bolt working at this moment. because one is a modification to the bolt itself to allow a larger slug and for it to work like butter but you would lose that lock out function that platform has on the pump action . the other is a breach mod that takes a dremel stone and ccreates an incline there inside where the breach and rifleing meet and look there it has a 90 degree wall there like they do not actually know how to manufacture the thing correctly, but if you take that dremel stone and put it in a drill and run it in reverse into each rifleing groove and along each of those walls it will allow a larger slug without the beating. i have done all these mods on my hp max pump action already. and aea made certain things on the megaladon like the mags , tank and that lock out function on the bolt so that people like me would not want that platform. so if you find it becomes your platform let me know. my bolt runs with one finger if i am not using the pump action, and mags load like challenger mags do without holding the bolt back manually. this is what i do , i take aea guns and finish the manufacturing that should be simple for them to have done but they want to cut corners and leave it for us to finish. see if i cannot interchange the mags and i know that i cannot. i would buy a different caliber for that platform if i buy one. but i already have a 500cc tamnk that will fit that one and a 600cc tank too and a internal regulater that will work with either tank. and aea does not have a single regulater left from the hp standard custom edition platforms, in fact they made this one after the fact because i broke mine and needed another one. so using it on the mega , i would have the only regulated mega around. so buying one is tempting. but like i said i already have a .51cal 22inch barrel 500cc single front tank externally regulated hp max with all the mods already completed and a magnet on my folding stock to keep the thing closed and so short , like27 inches long shortwhen folded, and 7lbs weight. so i have a better platform now. the hot swap is cool. but i already have that adapter from the element max rear tank.so i could make that on this platform at the cost of my foldy stock and i like this stock and a 27 inch folded length. feels perfect in my hands for punpping. i do not even have one of my great kami's on it. by the way you get a 58/72 great kame and put a ported piece of pvc in the 72 cal front end and it will work with m18 .45 and .51 cal also and .58 cal too and be quieter than the great kami that is m18 and made for the .51 cal. i would say you can also take a 13mm drill bit a foot long and run it through both ends of your current dony, but i did that to my emperor v3 and , well it lasted 6 months and then my emperor got assasinated and blew apart on video, one of my element max videos to be exact. along with two separate shrouds that i made to try and integrally suppress the element max. haha anyway the great kami 58/72 was a better option and i think the outside diameter of the pvc pipe was 74cal so i drilled port holes twards the barrel end to suck the air off and placed it on the 72 cal end and hammered it in with a no mar hammer till it was half an inch from the 58 cal connection and had a half inch left from the front end of the great kami so the air could get sucked off the projectile in both directions, and the thing costs$285 then i bought a true .51cal m18 great kami and the one i modded was better . so now i have both. and added another layer of thick felt to both and some magnesium powder so if anyone tries to use them on a firearm they will melt themselves to that firearms barrel and become unusable. just in case the atf decides to say i have suppressers ya know. well if you need any advice with an AEA airgun just let me know. this is why i am the last word. i do this thing. sure wish i had more than the amount of subscribers i do , but all mine are like dony fl is my sub, fox air power is my sub, a airgun maker in the phillipenes is my sub and on and on, all of them company big wigs. but i still wish i had a sub base like yours, course i wish that i could see out of at least one eye too. but i cannot, completely blind here. but i challenge anyone to make a 10 yard shoot at a 6x9 target(the size of a deer's head) and hit it while completely unable to see. say a 5 gal bucket on their head or a towel wrapped arou nd the head, and me i can take 50 shots and hit that target at 30 ft with 47 of the rounds. well a 48th clipped the side but that was an unethical hit so i do not count it.all the others would have hit the deer in the face and went through and into the spine and lungs or heart with the deer lowering its head to take a bite of whatever i put there to attract a deer. one time and i doubt it will ever happen again, i woke from a nap in my hunting spot , blind as a bat and the rag i wrapped around the barrel end was bobbing up and down , a deer was licking the blueberry juice out of the rag. smiles . yes i shot it, stood up took two steps found the kicking deer with the barrel gave the coup de grace. and went to field dressing it right there after cutting the deer's throat pulling out two trash bags and a pack of baby wipes. when done i took the pre-filled out wrd and rolled it up and stuck it into the carcass mouth, punched my tag and tagged the bag of meat, and called to be picked up , cleaning up and using the 2000ft paracord i had to get back out of the woods and to the road. for my ride, who filled out the other date part of the tag. course that was shere luck. i am inventing a parabolic mic to be able to listen to game chew at a hundred yards, and almost done , just need adjustment plates to be able to zero the thing. buig bulky and has a dish like a cereal bowl but it will let me hear myself rub two fingers together at 4 ft away. so at a hundred yards it should let me hear a deer or hog chewing and huffing breath, and 6 inches above that sound is a brain that needs an injection of lead. smiles simple huh. and logistics, is another paracord out from the shooting spot, lined with sweet corn , or whatever i was eating when i came out. so my shot will be out from that cord and i will just leave it there with de scenter on it . and whatever is at the end , i put a third paracord at 90degrees 50 yards each way and more of whatever i was eating ,( i am a messy eater in the woods) haha and that will bring my game quarry to me, that is logistics for a person who is completely blind. and once that game is on the line comming twards me its head is twards me. and a deer always lowers , chews , raises , lowers , chews raises. repeat, and a hog just roots so almost always has its head down. either way that brain pan is presented at the time of the chewing sound. well i know i have bored ya, take care friend. you can hit me here any time. the last word Should be no wait time. If you call them or the pellet shop they can do that, or the .22 may already have more air.
@TheRealCheckmate
@TheRealCheckmate 25 күн бұрын
@@AirgunChannel I haven't been able to find the 15" .50 cal anywhere, but there are 22" barrels in stock. I'm tempted to go with that and _maybe_ cut it down to the tank length (probably ~ 16"-17"). My only concern is the threaded piece on the end of the barrel. I'm not sure if that's for a suppressor, or if it's even needed, but It doesn't look like it would be an easy job to properly rethread the end of the barrel. The bigger tank would be nice, but not a must-have. I definitely want the shorter barrel though. Apparently, so does everybody else.
