If that worked for you, great. You just have to give it a long press though. "Long press" it, as some would say.

I did a review of this product on my channel, and found that the buttons are a bit fiddly, and why you had to press it twice, but actually it is just a single press and hold to turn it on. Hope this helps. Also the alarm is very very quiet, and have had comments on my video that the alarm loudness should be put back to where it used to be, and also there is no on-screen indication that the alarm is on or off, while others have suggested that AirKnight should have given Us the ability to turn it up and down as we choose - not take the control away from those of us who are paying for the device. However - this is a great device, but would be better with a few changes. Out of all the monitors that I have reviewed, The AirKnight is my favorite because of the incredible easy-to-read screen from across the room. Love the white text with black background, I wish more companies would make their screens that way.

It is so exciting to hear that you are working on changes, and thanks so much for letting me know that, as I will be very happy to pass that along - Can't wait to re-visit the all new AirKnight, and I know this is probably not one of the changes, but I would love to see a CO sensor added for sure, as that would make the AirKnight the GO-TO device to own for sure. I just created a video on our channel, showing how to replace the LiPo battery with an 18650 per questions/conversations in the comments. Speaking of the 18650, I really thought that this would hold 2 18650's and it most definitely would if only it was an 1/4 inch taller lol - Wow!, so close to fitting, but just a smidge off, but the single 18650 works beautifully in the device, and other viewers have said that they also would like to see the AirKnight with an 18650 battery option, and also an alarm indicator on-screen, and glad you mentioned buttons, because that has been mentioned as well. I love using the AirKnight in videos when comparing and testing other monitors. ...Changes coming is truly exciting news Jim, and thanks for giving me heads up, much appreciated. 👍

This device is a standalone product and does not have any wireless connections. Therefore, no app can be associated with the AirKnight air quality monitor.

Hi Jason, the AK1000 CO2 alarm can be turned off by simply double-clicking the left button on the top of the monitor. And, to change the temperature on the AirKnight AK1000 from celsius to fahrenheit , you may press the right button twice quickly (holding the button down for 1 second on the second press).

The battery is not replaceable. Brand new, the battery lasts approximately 9 hours. However, over time, how long the battery lasts will depend on how frequently the monitor is used (while running on battery). For example, leaving the monitor running all day every day on battery will lead to a much shorter battery life while turning it off at night and when it’s not needed (as we recommend to do) will help to preserve battery life. Lastly, the charging time is about 5 hours.
