I believe on international flights they do tend to have someone like that on board, but I’m just not sure with domestic flights.

What happens if the travel bank is say $700 but you check prices from EWR and its $1500 do you have to pay out of pocket the difference?

I think "deadheading" is an old trucker term, meaning you're heading to where you're going, but you're dead - meaning you're not producing revenue, empty trailer, etc. So, same idea applies for pilots who are being repositioned but not producing revenue.

I want to be an airline pilot, but I don’t know if I want to do passenger or cargo. It seems like the only major downside of cargo is that you fly mainly at night, so that can mess up health. It seemed like you were flying mainly during the daytime. Did you get lucky?

Cant remember if you went over this but, do you get paid for a deadhead. Just seems like you should in my mind but what do I know.
