I was kindly loaned the awesome Krait bullpup by Konstantin at AirMaks and Chris at UK distributor CDR Guns. After having this superb rifle on loan for over four months, I eventually gave-in to temptation and have now bought it to keep. So this rifle’s now my dedicated .177” sub-12 rifle for pest control, and you’ll be seeing a lot more of it in various reviews from now-on.

Hi Justin, yep absolutely -I was out recording some more footage through the DS35s last night in the barn, but had this mounted in the Bog Ultralight clamp on my Trigger Sticks by my side, HIKMICRO Stellar SH50 ready. While recording a few rats appeared 40m away, so I put the scopes on standby, got settled then shot a few more rats, before cracking on with my dual scope review. 👌 Thanks for watching, cheers. Russ

I'm assuming that the cheekpiece mount bolts are offset for a reason, so they cannot be reversed, this is probably due to the position of the mag which would interfere with it.

Hi Russ I’m after a reasonable gun vice do you have any recommendations at all I managed to get my Krait rifle & like you say a brilliant little gun I have also done the mod on the cheek piece because I shoot left handed do to an injury when was 10 years old I got shot in the eye with a catapult and practically lost most of my sight in that eye so hope to hear from you shortly if you have any ideas & do you know if there is a video on trigger amusement for the Krait I find it a bit tight trigger wise anyway buy for now

Great video Russ 👍 I have virtually the same set up as yours except I have an immersive scope on mine👍 There is only 20 between our serial numbers but I noticed your Reg is different from mine? Did yours come like that? Cheers Tom

A little discovery I made with the cheek rest. Reversing it moves it backwards, and I found that with my one leaf NV100 attached this offered a good cheek rest. Ps, I am a lefty.

Other than the upgraded low pressure reg,had the krait had any internal tweaks ?

It was off the shelf, then Chris got in touch to say AirMaks had improved the reg, so I fitted that and hey presto! Chris' own Krait's running @50bar, but mine's @75bar. The full story's in the latest Airgun World, in the shops now. Cheers. Russ

I think that Chrono test definitely leaded in your barrel. I’m not sure, but I think I might of missed shot 154. Would you mind doing it again? Never mind, I don’t want you getting repetitive strain. 😂

Hi Russ. Now you've had the rifle for quite a while. How do you find it in VERY cold weather, with it being all alloy ?. This is one thing that really puts me off this style of rifle, as my fingers get cold enough in the winter. That's why I've always stuck with wooden stocks. Cheers buddy

It's fine, all the surfaces I handle (pistol grip and cheek-piece) were synthetic and are now wood laminate, bar the carbon fibre bottle which is ok anyway. You can always add a neoprene sleeve to the CF bottle too, if required Thanks for watching, cheers. Russ

TBH I'm still absolutely loving the Krait, it's definitely my go-to sub-12 pest control rifle. In the last year I upgraded the grip and cheek-piece to laminate, then added a second bottle to make it twin-300cc for a video and article, and I recently temporarily slimmed it back down to single bottle for portability. Am looking forward to checking-out the walnut-stocked Krait Lite at the shooting show. 🤓 Haven't shot/reviewed the Ghost yet, but am looking forward to that. Thanks for watching. Cheers. Russ

Bruce..pard ds35 issue...struggling with ballistic at 6 yard range..shoots 2 inch high..ok at all other ranges...scope height bc..etc all good...can.t figure wh u xan.t shoot at 6 yards. Cheers

I haven't tried at very short range yet, but it's a FFP reticle, so at such ranges you could just aim with the graduated reticle? Thanks for watching, cheers. Russ

Has the barrel itself got a UNF thread or is it just the shroud that is threaded?

It's the end of the shroud that's threaded but everything's rock solid, so there's zero movement / no chance of any clipping. 👌

@@RussDouglas222 I was just wondering incase I did decide to purchase a Krait that I may take the shroud off and fit a silencer directly to the barrel, as this make help in reducing the length of the rifle for backpacking. I'm wondering is I could maybe get a UNF thread put on the barrel if it's not threaded.

@@MrRockstar1968 There's no need, the shroud is already modular and can be shortened by removing one or two of the end sections. Are you still able to externally adjust the regulator settings on the sub 12 version or has it been blocked off in the UK?

I'm torn between the FX Dreamline Lite Compact or Dreamline Tactical Compact or The AaiMaks Krait Compact. Decisions decisions.

I love my FAC FX Impact M3, FAC Maverick Compact and Krait. I bought the M3 secondhand (i.e. already worn-in) and it works well, got the Mav new and it leaked (i.e. blew O-rings) twice in twelve months. If sub-12 I'd go for the Krait, @cdrguns are great at post-sales support too. 🤓 Cheers. Russ

Polygonal or traditional rifling barrel ?

I believe traditional rifling only. Am not aware of any airguns (anywhere) using polygonal rifling, that's something still relatively rare even in military circles, reserved mainly for pistols (e.g. Glocks). Thanks for watching, cheers. Russ

Yep at the start the Krait's wearing an XLK, then when we see Calum on the GARC 50m range, it's a Huggett Mini-Magna. I tend to swap and change moddies between my three rifles, so I have also used the DonnyFL Fat boy 2.0 and the Eaglevision Quattro moderators, during this review. Thanks for watching, cheers. Russ

@@RussDouglas222 I've recently seen several reviews of issues with the regulator on the Krait rifle. So many issues that Krait have had to upgrade the regulator. Have you had and regulator issues with yours?
