was anyone surprised when the 109 on fire had it's engine restart after shutting down? very few engines actually turn back over from shutting down and this one did not putter when it kicked back on. guess we have to go into a death dive to restart the engine (maybe). just once it's back on we can no longer back out of the dive due to speed.

Yesturday i was flying that German three engine transport aircraft (i forget the name) and my number 3 engine caught fire; i was disappointed that shutting it down along with fuel flow didn't help.

SausageArmy it’s Level flight. The he-111 had it irl too. You can still turn left and right it’s meant to not have to worry about flying straight and just to get your bombs on target

jason lemuel It would be because of the fact that the engine was still on and left the propeller lose and not stopped. The plane pointed down and thus, the propellor started running again thanks to the air flow. I sound very smart but im not that smart.

IL-2??? Haven’t seen one. And with the Heinkel crash how come you didn’t show the prop as feathered which is what 99.9% of the pilots would do in that situation. Same as with the 110!! With that much drag it would be a struggle to fly

A lot of these "crashes" are TOO SAFE. Nothing is at risk when playing games, so why do you include bits of planes with dead engines landing safely. I know that not many can safely land a barely functioning plane in real life, but dude if you're gonna do a compilation of planes crashing with not many crashes that I (and possibly others) expect in a plane-simulator-crash-compilation, then I might as well look for other videos of real life pilots safely landing malfunctioning airplanes.
