For this kinda money you should be able to listen to the future. As reference, you can buy a next gen console (PS5 or Xbox Series X) + extra controller, 4 Poco M4's or even the Sony WH1000M4 + still have $150 cash in the bank. Do you think they're worth the money?

I'd get the PS5 digital n use the spare 150 bucks on headphones. The Soundcore Q30's have been given good reviews everywhere so I'd get them and funny enough, I'd still have enough money to buy Cyberpunk

If you're a graphic designer there are actually what you use for all the meetings. You're underestimating it's features beyond music. The instant switching in combination with being in the ecosystem professionally and personally, a 20 hour Apple headphones with great voice quality and playback is exactly what we need.

Apple sells the dongle extra it’s a lighting to 3.5 headphone jack. I believe it’s $35 more.

@Paul Gould I don't think that is the case. Apple does a huge amounts of research for their products. What they likely found is that the majority of people will not use the cable even if provided due to the convince of being wireless. Or it might even confuse people to include it. Those who need the cable are likely doing studio work or are pretentious enough to just spend the 35$ for the few milliseconds of reduce latency.

It’s already been noted that the headphones turn off automatically when not placed in the case after a period of inactivity. I’m surprised people are missing something that obvious.

Yet you didn't say how much time. It is 2 hrs. It does not turn off either, it goes into low power mode. I am surprised you missed that.

Interestingly - the usb c to lightning cable that ships with it can be used as physical cable to connect to Android phones, Macbooks, most new microsoft laptops, and most new Ipads. No need to spend extra $35 unless you want to use it with Iphone as wired headphone.

I personally think that if Apple made AirPods max but at a lower price and with a few sacrifices from the AirPods Max and something like the AirPods Max lite that comes at around the same price point as the Sony WH1000M4 it would be a great comparison.

You can use it professionally on an Audio Interface with Bluetooth like the Arturia AudioFuse. Maybe wireless is really the future?

I can see Apple using Glass to make those shells instead of Aluminium for Airpod Max Pro version and have Magsafe charging :). I think it will be pretty cool actually.

Nice video, fairly concise and hits a lot of the highlights of the product. Perhaps a more in depth review in terms of the actual sound quality with different music would be helpful. How about paring more than one device to it, is it possible ?

I got my fake airpods and they are awesome. I got them at IPLAYPODS,CO. Great sound and mic quality so fluid and they works same as apple ones. Battery is great to.

You can also use the airpods max on the airplane using one of the bluetooth dongles such as firefly which can also be purchased on the apple store.

1). They don’t stay powered on until they die if they’re not put back in the case. After some time not in use and outside the case, they will automatically go into low power mode. 2) there is a 3.5mm cable for these headphones you just have to buy it separate and it’s 3.5mm to lightning.

Btw a lot of ppl think Pod means something that goes in your ear but Apple has historically associated with Pods as music-related devices. like the iPod, EarPods, HomePod, and the AirPods. It's just a branding thing

Can you connect these to your iPad o Mac wired using the lightning to usb-c port? You can do that with Senns Momentum wireless 3, so you can listen and charge at the same time

The AirPods never actually turn off even in the case. They go into an ultralow power mode. Without the case, they still go into ultralow power mode after a period of inactivity.

The headband is there to counterbalance the weight of the headset. XM4 is plastic that’s why you wouldn’t feel fatigue because it’s much lighter.
