The ear test is not a fit test, it’s a seal test that increases the quality of the sound, not staying in the ears.

I am so far enjoying the Pros but I would say they are not for everyone when it comes down to comfortability.

I just got the AirPod pros and I love em but I never had any of the other AirPods

After having the pros everyone with regular AirPods looks like they’re wearing something clunky, especially the stem

If earwax gets in it, clean your ears before wearing them, I'd rather clean my ears than have trouble cleaning the airpods

I'm on the fence. I like the fact that the 2s don't have the tips and are just straight-ahead in your ears, I was never a fan of silicone tips.

What I do like is being able to blast the music and others can’t really hear you

Started with the medium ear tips, my left air pod fell out of my ear on concrete and scratched. I chatted with Apple and they magically granted a one time exception and replaced the left air pod. Sent it to me with one day shipping! I didn’t even have to send back the scratches air pod!!!! Suffice it to say I moved down to the small ear tips and have had better results....

More satisfying in the AirPods 2?? I have the pros and I’m literally addicted to opening and closing the case. I love that it sounds heavier than the older ones

Got my pros for a few days now. When I ride in traffic I use transparent mode. The ANC is so good that I won’t notice a car behind me until I turn my head and see it. But when I ride along the river or on bike paths, I switch to ANC. Compared to my non ANC headphones it blocks wind and other noises and I can listen at a much lower volume which saves battery and is much healthier for my ears.

I sold my Pro’s and bought the 2nd gen again. The Pro’s just wasn’t comfortable in my ears, no matter the size of the tips. The transparency-mode was really good but other than that; not worth the price.

Excellent review. I purchased the AirPods Pro (had original AirPods) and find the noise canceling a really great feature. The fit is much better as well and I also now have the benefit of wireless charging. Overall very satisfied.

I love my airpods 2, but wish I had the pros for noise cancelling when I'm on the city bus and people are talking.

I went and got got my AirPod Pro’s yesterday & I absolutely love them! I would recommend anyone to upgrade! It’s expensive but it’s well worth it!

I just got my Pros about a week ago and experienced the same thing you did, I initially had the Mediums on and they fit fine but kept falling out and kinda hurt my ears so I switched to the Smalls, but overall they're great and I love ANC *Update* I actually switched to the Larges because they fit better and feel more comfortable

Here is the thing: they are amazing IF they fit and stay in your ears. If they do not, you are screwed.

Just spent so much money on these AP pros . But I love them . They stay in the ear , didn’t experience any pain , and talk time for after 1 hour and 18 minutes battery was 67% , I was only using one at the time, so I don’t know if that makes a difference.

You should always use transparency mode whilst driving a bike! Not hearing cars is dangerous , safety first! Nevertheless great review, thx!

My ears are molded from over a decade to apple’s earbud shape they are so secure in my ear it impresses me how well they stay in. I can’t do in ear buds.

My husband has AirPods 2, and when I try them out on their own, they end up hurting my ears after a while (my ear is just a little too small for the height of the earbud when it’s sitting in my ear). I use those silicone earpieces you can buy separately on Amazon or wherever, around my own earbuds, to be able to use them with them sitting in the outermost part of my ear, while still staying put. That helps the pain, and it does the same thing when I use them with my husband AirPods 2. **My question: you mention the comfort of the AirPods Pro. Would you think that would be the case given my situation? Noise cancellation is very important to me, but not at the cost of a noticeable difference in comfort.**

I have the pros after having the air pods 2. I’m still on the fence. One thing I noticed with the pros is that they fall out more. I am going to change the tip and maybe that will work better? Other than that the sound is amazing

I've had a couple different headphones including some true wireless buds and I have to say that the Airpods Pro are the first ones that feel really comfortable for extended periods. I think part of it is that they have vents to keep from building up pressure in my ears and at the same time they're really light. I think a third factor for the comfortability is that the transparency mode provides really clear sound almost as if I weren't wearing them by contrast I have a pair of Echo Buds, which have a passthrough mode but everything still sounds a bit muffled. Another thing I really like about the Pros are that if I do need to adjust the fit while listening I'm not going to run into the problem of accidentally triggering something. I don't know how many times I've adjusted my Echo Buds and accidentally skipped to the next track or paused the music. When I was deciding between getting the Airpods 2 and the Pros I decided to get the Pros in part because of the active noise cancellation. Some other things I like is the integration with the Apple Watch. Simple things like volume control and skipping tracks not to mention playing and pausing via the watch is just a great touch.

The fit test only tests the seal at the time of testing not the fit in all future scenarios or the comfort... EDIT: My point being that for what you’re judging the fit test on “accuracy” has nothing to do with it. For what it was made to detect it IS accurate. If you had done a fit test after a workout when they came loose it would’ve told you that you don’t have a good seal -_-

Had them for a week, anybody had trouble having them stay in? any type of moving was enough to make them come loos ( Yes I tried all ear tips). The sound quality was amazing!

I was worried at first because they weren’t very comfortable to me and the noise canceling made me a little nauseated. But I gave it a little time and my body seems to have gotten used to them. Now I couldn’t imagine going back to the basic AirPods. I can actually wear both pros too. With the original AirPods my left side would always fall out if I did anything other than sit still. Now i can run with them both and they stay put. 🙌🏽

I’ve gotten reviews from customers at the store I work for and many don’t like the pros because you deal with more magnets and the magnetic buds come off easily apparently. The original AirPods got an upgrade, they’re second gen now and they link up faster to your device.

I've used earbuds for many years, and I know one of my ear canals is smaller than the other, so there was always a mismatch on my AirPods. But now I have AirPods Pro, I have a perfect fit and balance, like I had with my old Sennheisers that broke. And transparency mode blows me away.

A lot of my friends are against me buying Airpods Pro because according to them they’re not worth the money. I purchased and I can say the $300 is worth it. It just delivers. Tip though, if you don’t have that extra money, save for it even if you save for months and months. Don’t poke a hole in your pocket.

I prefer the airpods pro way more than the past versions especially because of the transparency mode and nose cancellation, it really feels natural and doesn't feel like there's anything in my ears at all.

Part of the reason why I wanna upgrade is because the build up of ear wax in the AirPods 2 is very irritating, and it causes them to slowly get quieter until you can barely hear them. Does this still happen with the pros?

Ive had the the airpods 1st gen for a little over a year, and they’re starting to sound wonky. My left AirPod sounds way lower than the right. I talked to Apple and they couldn’t do too much for me other than saying I could pay for a replacement. do you think I should just upgrade to the pros?

I have to say from upgrading from the gen 1 airpods and from cleaning them every 3 days I clean my air pods pro every 2 weeks because a little bit of wax gets stored in the ear tip

The 1/2 airpods have one thing pro does not, it’s the feel that you don’t wear anything. I sometimes forget I’m wearing them.

I had the pros for a week. They actually hurt my ears due to their new design after only 15 minutes. Specifically my left. Ended up with the Jabra 75t Actives. No pain. The APPs are awesome but not for me unfortunately. Comfort is priority one.

I haven’t really seen ppl with the pros I’ve seen a lot of ppl with the AirPods 2 or the very first model maybe ppl are still adjusting to the extra rubber piece at the end

I’ve had mine a couple weeks. They’re great as far sound and functionality. I’m a mechanic, I don’t like white only. They’ve fallen out on me in some bad places too :/ The color is my biggest dislike.

Air pods are definitely waterproof to some extent. I bent over to turn my bath taps off and one fell into my bath! I retrieved it and thought it would be ruined. Works fine after water was expelled.

Wore the Pros for about an hour and they were fine. I’m currently on hour 3 and they hurt!!! I’m wearing the mediums. Noise cancellation is cool but these are uncomfortable. I’m returning them ASAP!!

If you own an Apple phone and have AirPods or Airpod Pro then here's a tip for sound quality which seems to have slipped under the radar. Put on your go-to quality testing music, I use Temptation from Diana Krall. Go into... Settings Accessibility Audio/Visual Headphone Accommodations -[ON] You can then listen with several different equalizer settings and find the one you like the most. If you need help there is a "Custom Audio Setup" that will help you by going through several choices. There is also a possibility to use music that Apple suggests if you like with a "Play Sample" button lower down the page.
