Hi. Can I transfer from terminal 2 to terminal 3 myself without transit visa? Asking because my ticket has two separate tickets.. One reaching from India to Abu Dhabi on terminal 2 and then next one is from terminal 3...and ticket says transfer is self transfer and not provided by airlines

You don't need VISA for change terminal. But you have 2 flight and separate tickets. Please check another comment.

Hello. I have 2 separate tickets (PNR), I have a 13 hours layover in Abu Dhabi. I will go outside the airport and explore the city, do I need to take another PCR test for my next flight? Or can I still use my previous PCR test result (within 72 hours)? Thank you.

You can use your PCR result. But You have to check your rule of destination From UAE .It is different country to country.

Just to be clear, if your passport IS NOT eligible for an entry (meaning I have to create a visa), I DONT NEED a transit visa if I’m just staying in the gates right? If I’m just staying in the airport and not going out?

Transit visa is required before arrival depending on the hours you stay in this Airport. Upto 4hrs, within the airport, no transit visa required. Beyond that you need to take a transit visa. Upto 48hrs transit visa is Free of cost and upto 96hrs transit visa costs AED 50.

@@Embraced_Humanity how about layover of 4 hrs 15 minutes? I spoke to etihad support twice in India over the call and they said no transit visa is required if the layover is withing 8 hours. What is the practical scenario?

@@pathan6038 you can rely upon ethihad but for 100percentage safety you can take an online transit before journey starts. I heard a friend who had to cancel the journey in middle and got returned back by them to India just because he didn't had a transit visa for a layover of 12hrs.

@@Embraced_Humanity they said transit visa is required only if layover is 8 hours and above. I even spoke to Etihad on twitter. They instantly replied on twitter and resolved the query. I would suggest twitting them on etihadhelp. Calling is also a good option they explain things im detail.

Normally, We don't need transit visa at Abu Dhabi airport transit. You must stay in terminal 22 hours. If you want enter in Abu Dhabi ( out of airport or pick up your check in luggage) , You need transit visa ( country different ).

Yes, it is. During main operation hours from 9 pm to 2 am it takes around 30 to 45 minutes to get through the additional security check.

Go straight to the next gate. You can check next boarding gate on screen after get off the plane or ask it before landing on board. Your tickets directly from the airline, they will accompany you to the next gate if your first flight arrives late.

@@vinodp1730 If you need recheckin at the airport, You need go and check at immigration then go to checkin counter. However If you can checkin at transfer desk near the gate, you dont need immigration. For visa situation, It depends on the passport, so it cannot be said unconditionally.

I can't answer. Because condition is different airline to airline and also depends on the ticketing method. Normally 2 hours and 45 minutes should be OK if you need recheck in at airport. However We are not Normal by COVIT..... If your first flight delayed..... Passport control queue......

If you need recheck in(pick up your luggage ) it is mean go to outside terminal. You need VISA for Abu Dhabi. If you can check in at transfer desk in the terminal you don't need VISA. It is easy for you. However It depends on the next airline company. Your case, There are complex elements, so I can't give a general answer. There is diffalent condition. Where you had bought flight ticket? Bought together or separate？ Next flight international or domestic? I think ask ticket distributor better for you. terminal 3 to terminal 1 is easy. You can check Abu Dhabi Airport WEB site.

From Singapore ethi had airlines and from Abu Dhabi its indigo airlines…between 2 airlines 2.45 hrs time..
