I'm writing from Bangladesh. I certainly appreciate your sincere & to the point honest review 😌 However, I wanted to buy the S3000pro but sadly, here Edifier doesn't have those lovely speakers. 😢 Being quite abit disappointed, I moved back with decision of buying this A80's. Hoping that, I won't be too sad to hear the sound of them!!!

Hello! Think they're a great alternative, ones that won't be as expansive as the Edifiers mentioned, but still a great pick, enjoy :)

Edifier airpulse lineup really price itself up in the western countries lol. In asia, the price of a80 is usually around 400-500 usd, and in mainland china, it costs only 300 usd. Which makes a80/a100 an almost absolute choice for desktop powered speakers in the 400 usd price range.

Hello, friend!Tell me, I noticed a Cambridge amplifier on your shelf, with speakers. Compared to the A 80 column, do they play better? It's just that the future belongs to speakers like the A80 with built-in amplifiers inside, it's just that now there are amplifiers like the Audiolab a6000 that are capable of reproducing sound via dts play fi. And you said that the sound on Bluetooth on the A80 will not be so high-quality. And if I connect Audiolab a6000 via dts play fi, then the losses will be much less compared to Bluetooth. It's just all about convenience, I think you'll agree. Often you want to listen to music sitting on the couch and switch it from your phone, and is it worth buying such good speakers when you want to listen to either Bluetooth or dts play fi? They just say the amplifier doesn't really give sound quality and it all depends on the speaker how do you think it is?

The scalability and detail I achieve with my Cambridge Audio CXA61 + Q Acoustics 3030i is something active bookshelf speakers (at least ones in the sub-£1000 price point) simply cannot compete with; but if you're just using for Bluetooth, all the detail will be stripped out and thus having active or passive speakers won't make such a n table difference, albeit one that could still be heard because you're comparing different setups.
@ap5672 Жыл бұрын
@@TotallydubbedHD Have you AB-ed the A80 + sub vs the 3030i + sub? I demoed the A100 vs the Q Acoustics M20, Klipsch The 5 and Elac Debut Connex DCB41 (idk how this compares with the 3030i) and the A100 demolished all of them in terms of tautness of bass and sweet smooth mids and highs.

So before buying them I would think 2 times for a service issue. Good sound but bad service, speaker is not durable. The right speaker burned out after 5 months of occasional use with medium to low volume levels. Support is very slow to respond and does not have the necessary preparation to handle the fault. As an electrical technician I simply asked for a pair of 4.5" mid-woofers to replace but it is very difficult to have them. In addition, this woofer size cannot be found on the market because it is a custom made by the manufacturer. Overall, I don't know whether to buy them again. This was my experience with this model, maybe other models are more realible.

So when you say that the optical input "supports" a particular quality, are you giving the specs for the internal dac? I mean - I presume this has an internal dac - but neither you nor the product specs explicitly say that.
@TotallydubbedHD3 жыл бұрын
When you say specs of the internal DAC, what do you mean, particularly when it comes to the optical input? From their website FYI: "AUX, PC, USB, Optical, Bluetooth (The USB, Optical Inputs Support Up to 192KHz Input Sample Rate)"

I have both the A100 and the S3000Pro. The A100 have much smoother and sweeter mids and highs. The S3000Pro has harsher mids and highs. I would go with the A80/100 and subs over the S3000Pro.
