Various military and warbird aircraft depart on Sunday at the 2018 EAA AirVenture airshow in Oshkosh, WI.
Look for:
E/A-18G Growler
B-29 Superfortress
P-51 Mustang
T-6 Texan
A-1 Skyraider
F/A-18 Super Hornet
T-28 Trojan
DHC-1 Chipmunk
F-5 Tiger II
F-15 Eagle

If you didn't know, that extremely loud buzzing sound predominantly from the T-6 Texan, but also with other aircraft, is actually the propeller tips moving at near supersonic speed, and not the engine! :)

Jets taking off are pretty cool, but nothing compares to the sound of that Merlin engine as a Mustang leaves the runway. Music to my ears.

A Ford Trimotor taxis in front of more T-6's(?) than I've ever seen while an F/A-18 takes off in the back. Just Oshkosh things.

I saw my first F-15 some 40 y ago here in Europe. (I was a kid). Still a great fighter!

The F-15 uses 1/3 the runway to rotate and noses straight up like a rocket and stays that way. The F-5 starts way further back, takes all day to finally rotate at the end of the runway and can hardly climb out. Are you getting it yet F-5 fan club?
