my first match was a great success, as a 14 year old i've had so much fun already doing airsoft and its always the kids that are super wholesome and never butthurt, i went out of my way to make sure that i wasn't being a mug to anyone and made sure to call all hits i could

That's what nades are for! In my first airsoft game ever, I lobbed a pyro Frag over a stone wall where I knew the last opfor was cowering as I had supressed him on my way forward by shooting just over the wall... My frag landed just between his legs and exploded as his whole team watched and flinched from their respawn zone XD Some of my success probably came from doing 10 months of conscript training and a couple of years in the national defence militia before getting into airsoft and I had rigged my kit for how I wear it when in issued uniform sending actual bullets and 84mm HEAT, Smoke and FRAG shells down range at the paper and sheet steel targets on military training fields XD Airsoft is best for me when I play for shits and giggles, often in Brotherhood of NOD costume, and only taking the game and safety rules seriously.

As a kid who played with good duded like him i can say yes that is true i had almost no friends till i played airsoft then all of a sudden all my friends were guys 10 15 even 20 years older than me vets police swat and just good people in general they did more than just be nice they bought me food found places on teams for tournemnet days so i wouldnt just have to watch even bought me my first realy good airsoft gun

Tbh as much shit as people give nerf, having 20 grown men shooting each other and playing nerf capture the flag is fun as hell. Plus, nerf melee weapons, like it can be kind of cringe when people “tryhard” but starting a small nerf league is fun and a much more accessible hobby than airsoft or paintball.

Because unlike COD it's very physically taxing to constantly run around, especially in full gear, the most you can do is do it in short bursts. It's also very annoying and time consuming to get hit and have to respawn, if they let you some game modes make you wait till the next match after dying. So yeah a lot more planning, waiting, and slow tactical manures in Airsoft but it still feels very involved and adrenaline packed, you'll likely never feel like you're just sitting around inside even though you are.

@@justking0600 No he didn't.. he said it was annoying and time consuming to walk back to a spawn and then aaaaaall the way back to the action. Noone does that running. Also the few people storming into combat are always the first to take the walk back to respawn. Running only makes sense in bursts as Will points out. If you need to rush someone, or move somewhere exposing yourself.. you simply need to.. and in those situations you're most likely to get shot. If you wanna do good in airsoft you need to play it tactical - go from cover to cover, laying out covering fire for teammates, collaborate when breaching and so forth...

I ref both at my local field, beleive me paintball player complain just as much if not more than airsoft, and from what I've noticed the community is slightly more toxic, but that's just my experience.

Nah my friend. It's called "wiping" and it's exactly what it sounds like. People will furiously try to wipe the paint smear off their clothes, and claim it was from a previous match to stay in the game. Or do it quickly enough that the ref doesn't see and usually has no choice but to let them keep going.

Depends on who and where you play, find better fields that actively fleshes out cheaters and doucheholes, i always call my hit, if someone saw me getting a hit i didn't feel I'll call it out of respect, sure the walk back is the least fun but you can take a breather and chill for a little, i got asthma so chilling after Abit is just nice :)

for me its not even like that at milsims that happen in the east, I've only ever seen stuff like this that's much in west coast games or events where people in the west coast show up. I'm not trying to diss that area of airsoft, but its just what I've noticed. We talked about it and we think that its because over where we play and the events over here you'll get kicked out no refund and no-one gives a shit if you can play. But on the west coast you seem to just get kicked out for a game, and only the most egregious of players get kicked out for a day.

US airlsoft is more fast pace and arcade like. More respawning, more questionable hits. Not trying to be as realistic, and that makes it different in it’s own right. I enjoy it more. East airsoft is more like simulating campaigns and so yeah they’re gonna take it more seriously and complain less.

I loved airsoft but with everyone wearing vests and shit it’s hard to feel bbs hit you, especially when it hits the vest. Can’t even tell if it’s a ricochet in close quarters since bbs bounce everywhere. Paintball is better in that aspect that it splats ya, I just got tired of people not calling hits. Still love the videos though.

I’ll show up in a light long sleeve and cargo pants, and they you just need to get leg straps and use your pockets efficiently. My homie was whining because he got shot point blank in the arm with a pretty decent speed BB, and I just chuckled and lifted my shirt, I was red as fuck. Don’t recommend catching someone with a really solid setup at under 10 meters, that shit hurted.

I miss playing down there, played alot of games at TCA events. been to 2 stonebreakers, faded giant, serious viking, dragon rogue and maybe one or two more ops with them, but alas I was always eastern empire, chaos company for life. Played with the White Ravens, not sure if you've heard of us but its always good to see a tan guy call thier hits :)
