And it's about to get even worse with the six flags cedar fair merger with the ungodly prices they charge for parking before you even enter the parks. And if the prices change either way after the merger they're gonna go up not down unfortunately.

We always pay for the Lightning Lanes (both the regular and upcharge ones) when we go to the Disney parks and it is worth it for us since my family normally goes on days when it is crowded (weekends and holidays since it isn't easy for us to take days off during the school year). I would also like to point out at that at some parks, the highest tier annual passes come with 1-time-use-skip-the-line passes that you can use each time you visit; and some resort hotels (like the top tier resort hotels at Universal Studios Florida) offer skip the line passes for the duration of your stay without paying the extra fee.

i bought the time skip pass for my 1st trip to dollywood this past week, and the only 2 rides i encountered that didnt support it was whistle punk chaser and blazing fury. thankfully i did whistle punk within the 1st hour of being there (maybe 15 mins tops) and fury i was on in less than 10 thanks to how fast they do dispatches.

I was at Carowinds today and the lines weren't terrible, and I wasn't paying for a fast lane. Today, I got 3 new credits(Vortex, Fury, Copperhead), and wait times were minimal

Unfortunately Superman in Magic mountain was not included in the flash pass last year or this year, but all the other main rides are. I crushed the park many times it’s a good workout too

Also you gotta watch out for the parks that only let you have a certain row for the flash pass like BGW with Apollo’s Chariot.

The park where the "pay to skip" pass is INSANELY powerful is PortAventura. To the point where I think they should dial it back; it feels almost dirty to use it. We went to Tokyo DisneySea the week before last and some random English-speaking tourists who were leaving gave us some tickets they'd gotten as part of some resort package, that let them skip the line on an odd specific assortment of rides. Reading the fine print, I don't think they were supposed to give them to us. But we used the hell out of them. They didn't get me on Journey to the Center of the Earth though, I had to do standby on that. They DID work for Indiana Jones!

I work at SFOG flash pass. I try to encourage people to not buy the standard because it’s damn near a scam 😂. You’re waiting the same amount of time as someone who is already waiting in line.

I have only paid for it once. It was at alton towers during the summer. It had to buy it because all rides had 2 hours long wait. Worth it.

When I went to Magic Mountain in October 2022 and opted to get the fast pass, not only was it more than the admission ticket, I also couldn't use it for the new Wonder Woman ride. There was an upcharge for it.

In my home park (Thorpe Park) if you get the coasters one then you can all ride all the adult coasters for less than the one that includes the flat rides and water rides and stuff

Honestly...this should be banned. You shouldn't be given the choice to skip in front of other people. The only lines I'm ok with are single rider lines because those fill empty seats

There was a period when it seemed like the single rider line on Untamed at Canobie Lake Park was my private skip line. People are starting to figure it out though.
