It shows how friendly he is with his mom.. And by showing respect as you say...it doesn't mean that there will be A good bond between a mom and A son.. The bond will be strong only when a mom and son talk in A friendly way.. A son cant say everything to A mom who he gives a whole a lot of respect..and he can't express his love towards her.. For example take santhosh subramaniyam movie.. He gives a lot of respect to his father.. But he can't say anything to his father and he can't even show his love towards his father... But take M.kumaran Son of Mahalakshmi.. He will be so friendly with his mom so that he can say every single thing to his mom... That shows the difference between a bond with love and a bond with respect.. In this movie " Äiti " He can't be like ( Seringa ma .. Appadingala.. Okaynga ma.. Epo ma varinga ) that will not convey the proper bond and love between them.. Hope you can understand this Mam.. Thank you Mam ❤

Hari Krishnan yes you can be friendly and be respectful to your mom at the same time ( either way she is older than him ) . Another constructive criticism , the characters name should be according to their age , aditi is the name that evolved mostly in this century especially for South Indians . His mom is definitely born in last century so name accordingly :)

Hari Krishnan Being respectful doesn’t mean he is not going to have a bond with his mom. I am respectful to my mom but at the same time we joke around and have a lot of fun (we have a great bond) .The reason why I mentioned the name is because that can make things more real. I also understand where you guys are going with the concept but it has to be more sensible , reality is something we all can relate to.So next time you guys do this do it in a way we can relate/ connect.All in all giving respect is a huge part of tamil tradition (an awesome thing if you ask me).Hopefully you understand.
