Aizawl is the largest city as well as the capital of the state of Mizoram in India. The City is located north of the Tropic of Cancer in the northern part of Mizoram and is situated on a ridge 1132 metres (3715 ft) above sea level, with the Tlawng river valley to its west and the Tuirial river valley to its east.

1 suprising fact about mizoram that no one knows is RACISM.. Almost every mizo is racist.. Yeah, that's true.. Even though only few people show racism there but if u see deep down in their hearts everyone is racist.. If u are from mainland India then deep down in their hearts u are only a 'VAI' for them.. Mizos say that the meaning of VAI is same as BHAI but that's not totally true.. u can ask the meaning of VAI from some non mizo who have been staying there for a long time.. VAI is a racist word to define mainland people and every mizo uses this word.. if u r a non mizo then the rules are different for u.. the rules are made in such a way that it favours only the Mizos no matter how long u have already stayed in mizoram.. there is no equality between Mizos and non Mizos and the non Mizos don't get equal opportunities.. this is the darkest side of mizoram that no one knows...

@@anitamaity5447 Its safer than 98% of the country, women can hang out all night with no fear. Most people dont speak Hindi, english is common but many dont speak it well, so he might get a bit lonely initially. And oh, things can be expensive sometimes.

Don't hate me if I say this but If only the central government has granted Mizo us to Ban Cross Marriage/Transracial Marriage/International Marriage then we will be able to maintain our traditions and cultures. If not and if 50 years have passed, there will not even be a single pure Mizo. And this is what our grandparents and forefathers hated the most.

@@ruatapachuauruatapachuau9116 I think such descions can only be taken socially,by society people bcuz govt can't restrict anyone to marry someone anyone else If that's a concern then you should make it topic of awareness in your community Anyways I think with globalisation - there will be more and more international couple,inter state marriages - the human being from 400-500 years(if globalisation cond.) will be more and more mix - I don't see it as any bad thing though

Actually, we Mizo are not really that educated. We just have high literacy rate. That's all. According to 2001, criteria, a person aged 15 and above who are able to read and write in any language is called a literate person. But, anyway, I appreciate and thank you on behalf of us we Mizo. 😊😊👍.

I appreciate you spoke the truth. I respect Mizo society for its honesty, simplicity n civic sense. I also urge Mizo society to come out of clutches of the religious authority and make independent decisions. I think more economic development is possible in this way....just a personal view. I can resonate with them as i am a Northeastern Christian and even after having come to terms with myself and deciding that i most align with an athiestic world view, I'm increasingly finding myself interested in Buddhism and Hindu mysticism although not from a religious standpoint, as i am again an atheist.

@@bussycat3468 Hinduism is not more religious, its a polytheistic religion and we dont have Friday/Sunday school like in abrahmic religions , so Indoctrination doesn't happen, theres more freedom....even the person who coined Hindutva...Savarkar was an atheist, as am I

I want to visit this place, people. Understand the culture. It is really blessing if all this will be peacful journey. I am from west India, And i haven't explore any other state. Except kashmir. And i was disappointed by visiting kashmir by watching local people's behaviour. May be they have their own reason to treat us like that. But i really want to explore this two states. Mizoram & manipur❤
