It's crazy that AJ is the same age as Becky Lynch, and younger than Charlotte Flair. She seems like she's from a whole different generation of wrestlers. It was a completely different time for Women's wrestlers during AJ's time in the WWE.

Just a side note, it's so good to see the wrestlers from my (and probably your) generation who're on the smaller side in the WWE successfully extending their careers into their late 40s. Growing up in the early 2000s, it was almost like a pro wrestler death every month from steroid and narcotic abuse at one point. They dealt with mental health so differently back then..

@@ABD-pc3jf Good point. But Impact/TNA aren't as big of a company as WWE and didn't get a ton of TV time like WWE. Plus, WWE (at the time) had 2 shows. Impact and TNA only have one. She really became one of my favorites after listening to her book on audible. Was a great listen. At a time of MAJOR depression for me(losing my dad to suicide) , hearing her story did give me that “Holly crap I’m not the only one!” I go back to it from time to time. Always the, “okay I’m going to get through this.” Made me go back and watch more of the character of Aj Lee.

Sorry to hear about your dad. I am glad that her book was able to help you and get you through it. You're never alone. So many people in this world suffer like you have so never forget that you are NOT alone. You will never be alone when it come to mental health. The difference is you had the strength to help yourself and find something to help you get through your incredibly tough time.

So sorry for your loss first off. I was present at the death of my soulmate. It was an extremely sudden thing, and I was alone performing CPR with 911 on speakerphone. I couldn't raise my arms over my head for days afterward. So I didn't say all that to make it about me. Suicide is normally a sudden thing. And not knowing your story, I just wanted to say that I think I get it. It's a fucking horrible thing to get... But if I don't laugh, I'm going to cry. If I don't live, I'm going to die. We must press on. For the people we lost and for ourselves as well. And you are most definitely not alone. Many positive thoughts and lots of compassion being sent your way.

Aj Mendez really is one of the most underestimated woman who came out of wwe. Congratulations on your success and kudos for honesty in your experiences in every aspect, your being open with mental health shows it doesn't have to be a albatross around your neck and you can reach for whatever you want. Every success to you in your next adventures you earned this.
