I know that this is kind of an old song and no one has really been talking about it but I really fucking love this song, and especially when he sings the pleads of the mother in great detail, as if he is singing this to her son (or daughter or whatever) and going in great detail about how she exactly begged to spare her family's life in front of them, just to terrorise the victim, but also themselves, as if they're trying to remind themselves of what a coward they are and what they have done. Oor, I think i just need sleep. Great song!

It's a feature of this website, where you can put different videos into one list that you can play, without having to search the videos manually every time.. Oh, important fact - you can name the playlists whatever you want, within the guidlines of the website of course. So taking all that into consideration, user *KWISPY* is adding the song you made this comment on to playlist he named “songs that give me happy thoughts”. Why do i think that this might actually be someone innocent taking the blame for the murdering of a family because no one else can? Like they hate themselves and someone needs to pay for murdering that family so they step up to protect someone else, so they put on a murderous facade and claim that this is what they said to their last victim

You can say that it's thoughtful and deeply nice, too deep. But on the other hand, what if they find out he's not the killer? They killed someone(possibly someone close to them), that someone was taking the judgement of someone who DOES deserve it, and the case has been closed. The situation was elevated more than it had to be, and the one who deserves it is running around killing more people because the kid thought it will make it slightly easier for this one family. Actually it's still poetic, but still.

I feel like this is about a murderer full of regret. His is forgiven by someone who’s family he killed. But he can’t believe this act of kindness and is further stating what he did and how he can’t go back. “So I looked into your eyes, and saw the reflection of a coward we both hate very much.” In this line I think he is talking about seeing himself, hence it saying reflection. The last verses might be him actually killing the person as a form of not being able to accept the forgiveness and believing he was already too far gone. Or it could be in his head and it’s himself he’s attacking as a way to tackle his regret (do keep in mind I don’t much about the artist so I could be wrong)

that’s what i was thinking! he hates himself so much but can’t see hope for himself so he keeps going. he thinks over what he’s done and knows it’s bad but keeps on living trying to be bad and believes there’s no good he will ever get. he hurts those around him purposely because that’s what people now expect of him and he expects of himself

Good catch but I thought it's just a classic interpretation of a mental battle with yourself. I often look at my family members and think terrible shit that make me instantly backfire on myself. And I'm not kidding, just like how he "grabbed the knife, and I let the blood out of YOUR throat and I smashed those tiny mirrors inside of your skull" I instantly imagine myself killed, or just my head crushed into the wall or something as a "punishment" I dunno, it's like someone insulting your family in front of you and it makes you so angry that you just get up and stride over to punch him, only that it's you.
