I love wrestling of the 80's and 90's, but this is an example of blurring the lines of reality at it's finest!! I know it's a work and that these guys didn't hate each other, hell, they all played football at the same college in West Texas, but watching this match I have no problem at all suspending disbelief! Guys in the business today couldn't handle this style of rasslin!

I am a big Dory Funk Jr Fan as of late . I was not as a kid . It was his image that turned me away . He looked older than he was and his physique was not like the younger generation with their steroids . Once I grew out of that type of fandom though ...Dory was a wrestling god . Everything he did looked legit .

Gotta give credit to all...these hombres are tough as nails..the funks,brodie,hansen..respect to all.

Great wrestlers, great era, great match and a great promotion. This match is fast without it being confusing, exciting without it being cartoonish, tough without being too dangerous or violent and very move is well timed and well explained. Modern wrestlers should learn from Dory's and Briuser's leg drops and Hansen's elbow drops. However, they should start with watching Terry's punches the effort, the timing and the believability of every shot and the variations in them ( punch, headbutt, chop etc...) makes modern day fast two handed punches look so fake.

Dory had a physique like a wet sack of concrete . But you could see that he worked out a lot ....just probably with bag weight and not iron weights . That was part of Brody's work out too but he used both .Both had no body fat . Stan was just big and rawboned . Terry did not show which style of workouts he used . I read about Brody , other wise I would have assumed he was an iron banger . Working with bag weight developed tendon and sinew and works the core more than iron weights do .

Wrestlers really should hold onto the ropes more when they get whipped into them. I like how Dory Jr. does that. Makes a lot of sense.

Two big men moving like light weights

Terry Funk is the smallest guy in that ring . 6'2" and roughly 250 lbs ! Dory is 6'3" and closer to 260lbs solid . Hansen is 6'2" 310 lbs and Brody is 6'4"+ and roughly 300 lbs . No steroids , just gym time and high protien diets ( Especially Brody )

Brody and Hansen's size were misleading ....they were bigger than you would see on TV until you could see either in direct comparison with their opponent .Hansen despite not being overly muscular did not have disproportionate body fat despite weighing 310 lbs on a 6'2" frame . Brody's height has been disputed quite a bit ...that 6'8" claim was bunk ...Stan said he was about 6'4" but others said 6'5" ...he looks 6'5" to me . The Funks look to be 6'2" a piece but Dory looks to be a bit taller .
