Heroes.....unbelievable, what these athletes endure, wow. Back then they did easily fill statiums like the Tokyo dome......nowadays, well, not so much. It hurts, when I see a NOAH event in front of maybe 200 ppl......wonder why? Coz the Japanese fans did change to Pride Fight and stuff? Or coz the japanese wrestling machine adapts more and more to the US-wrestling....'showtime'. They should go back to PURORESU, coz thats what Japanese do best by a mile.

That's A good question. These guys were larger than life. Misawa, Kobashi, Kawada, Taue. I certainly prefer viewing this over what I am seeing today. The battle and endurance, the grueling blows . They left it all in the ring for the fans every match. Sadly nowadays, I only see overehearsed cooperation between both people. The stupid leg slap with every weak kick or knee nowadays. This was raw power and endurance. Gratefully , Tsuruta, Hansen, Doc & Gordy, Misawa, Kobashi, Kawada, Taue, Akiyama, and others are immortalized on video and we can go back and see these legends anytime

There's no Baba with the long term vision and the commitment to his crew. Of course it didn't hurt that he had incredible talent at the top of his cards, guys who could also sell tickets.
